Best product ever!
I bought this so I wouldn't have to fork out a $7.50 rental fee per month to my internet company to save money and this did not disappoint! Easy installation and no calling other countries for their assistance. I would purchase again as this is saving me lots of money in the long run. It pays for itself after 7 months of use. I love to save money on utility bills!

Some things never change ...
I never do reviews. My little Belkin Router finally stopped working after 5 years. I wanted to try a different brand so I tried Asus it looked really sleek had two antennas. I with the help of Tech Support (after an hour of my time) couldn't get it working. The rep had the nerve to suggest I buy a higher priced model. To my surprise when I plugged the Belkin back in it started working, Yay!! Two months later no internet for the TV. Man made equipment breaks down eventually Right!! So away I went to Wal-Mart. The different brands all seem expensive, so taking a lesson from my 1st foray I purchased the next highest modem instead of the lowest priced one. I should have known something was up by the way the clerk was looking at me when I made my choice.. After 90 minutes of Tech help (whatever happened to plugging it in changing a few settings and I'm online) I was beginning to think the problem was my TV. After I returned the 2nd modem I went back to the modem section in Wal-Mart. The model of modem that I purchased was set aside from the others (he could have told me those don't work). I planned to go online and try Belkin again, but DARN it the little modem started working again. The other night I couldn't to get to HULU so this time I called my ISP. One of the times I thought the modem failed was actually an outage. Yep this time it was dead. I got my new reasonably priced Belkin today. It came with an easy to manage interface, changed a few settings (no calls to tech support) and it is working right now. I'm not sure what the other companies are selling or why they think a consumer will not return products that don't work. It's silly and a waste of time and money. The new one doesn't look like it came from another planet no dual antennas, but it works. Which is all I want.

Very nice router and great price
I like everything about this router. I replaced a much older Belkin router with this one. I had no need for tech support so that's why I opted for 3 stars so don't read anything into that. Delivery was 2 days early which was great. Very happy with my purchase as well as the purchase price which was $50 dollars cheaper than Best Buy.

The Belkin 1600 router is a real waste. Do not buy it.
I have been a consistent consumer of Belkin routers. For years I have worked with the Belkin 600 and Belkin 750, excellent, good, stable, reliable devices. Encouraged by this I decided to buy, Belkin 1600, what a disappointment. The first thing I noticed is that although it is supposedly faster than my other routers of the same brand, that is not true. It is a very unstable router, my devices connected to the network, even though the router shows the indicator light of internet connectivity, several devices indicate that there is no internet connection. I turn off the electricity supply and then the computers, cell phones and tablets regain connectivity, this has to be done several times a day. If you are thinking about buying this router, I recommend buying another brand, the good price of this device will not make your work performance productive. This router is a real waste.

Speed is not there, or-is-it !?!?
Loves-it.. !. IT IS easy to set-up, and a lot of features I've not touched, until I feel I need them. So customizations are impressive for-the-price of this unit. The speed numbers are not there( just as many consumers stated in the comments ), for Belkin to mention 4.3x's more powerful. However, the power lies across the whole platform. Even though the Mbps increased only marginally, the performance in normal everyday router usage is solid. I noticed previous issues that I experienced with my single-band Netgear router, were nonexistent with this dual-band Belkin router. Issues-such-as signal dropping on phone, while standing in front of running microwave. Or numerous buffing instances, on various social-medias( including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram ). All of those problems resolve out-of-box. Also built-in security was adequate, if you're into that kind-of-stuff. In summary, well-worth the money and a very solid budget performer, to get rid of the gremlins plaguing your home network :) !.

It's Not 4.3x Faster than My Wireless N Router (old Belkin N600)
Setup was a breeze, easy to get up and running and it's got a nice clean upright profile... great price here on Amazon and for $32 who would complain??I do want to address one thing though. There's a lot of marketing stating that this router is (up to) 4.3x faster than Wireless N routers... and while I wanted to love this router, it just didn't have the coverage or speed of the 2014 Belkin Wireless N (N600) router it was replacing. Not only did it lag compared to my N600, but the range just suffered and when tested in the same spots throughout the one story house, it just didn't compare.I ended up returning it, and purchasing one of those new spaceship routers with 3 antennas for a little bit more $$. For a few extra bucks, I get great coverage throughout the backyard and absolutely zero lag while browsing/streaming. This one was having a hard time keeping up with loading 1 min videos on Instagram and made for some chunky pixels on larger YouTube videos that were crisp with my older Belkin router.Overal, 3 stars; definitely a great buy for the price and for apartments, condos, dorms, etc. I wouldn't hesitate.
