Looks good and nice size for kitchen counter. I cut 250g block in half which fits nicely.

Not big enough
Nice piece of kitchenware however it was not big enough to hold a normal 250g block of butter so therefore not much use. Sent back

Excellent
This is a great size - exactly what I was hoping for the description is accurate. It's perfect for a Canadian style stick of butter but you can cut a typical English pack of butter in half length-wise and it's perfect. No mess. Easy to leave out of the fridge for softer butter, ready to use. It looks very nice too. A bit vintage, maybe - in the best way. Very easy to clean. If you're keeping it in the fridge overnight it takes up hardly any space!

Bought especially for garlic butter
Bought this item specifically for the garlic butter keeps it nice and fresh and looks better than keeping it in the packet.Dish is perfect for what we bought it for.

Really lovely piece of porcelain that would enhance any dining table.However for day to day / kitchen useage the size is a real problem. Despite the descriptor I have to cut a standard European block of butter into 3 portions to be able to squeeze it into place.
