The fit was perfect and works fine in the unit.

I believed that this was replacing the battery on my Rino 530hcx but rather it is a 'pack' that holds 4 AA batteries. The pack is about 30% larger then my old battery so it is a bit more bulky. But, it makes my device work again and saves me having to buy a new device. All in all a solid purchase.Note: The batteries are not rechargeable in the device (as your old charging cable is of no use). You could get rechargeable batteries and charge in a battery charger but not in this device..

I needed a replacement for my previous one that was damaged by leaking batteries. Remember to remove alkaline batteries from anything you are not going to use for an extended period.

Update:I ordered another one of these just to have a spare. I ordered it over a year ago and today was the second time I have pulled it out to use it. I've been using the first one I bought. When installing the batteries one of the metal power leads broke off. Now it is useless. I am going to try to fix it, but after only one use this should not happen. After using these for so long I've decided they aren't nearly as good as my original review. But having one of these is better than nothing at all. If you can afford a new battery, get that. If not, this is okay I guess.Original review:This works leaps and bounds better than my old Lithium battery! Very inexpensive. I think everyone should have one of these somewhere while using the GPS. This is just a battery back shell. Your only option as garmin discontinued the lithium pack replacement.

I bought this as a replacement for my lithium ion original battery. The lithium ion quit holding a charge and as they are very expensive I decided to try this as another option and very pleased, this is a great idea and an inexpensive alternative to replacing the original lithium ion.

This alkaline battery pack does not have the same connector pattern as the rino 532HCx gps. When connecting the battery pack to the device, it turns on when the pack is installed. But when you turn it off, it will not turn on again by depressing the power button. The difference in the configuration of the connectors does not enable normal function. The description did not warn me of this difference. I am a dissatisfied customer. Can this be rectified?

Rhino battery pack failed... Bought this years ago to replace it and is still working 100%. I like that I can use AA batteries rather than having to charge the battery pack that came with it.
