Garmin Alkaline Battery Pack for Rino 520 and Rino 530 (010-10571-00)

Works perfectly and it’s really the only option once the factory rechargeable battery dies and no longer will recharge. Be aware if you use a RAM mount to mount this radio, it won’t fit with this battery pack because of the thickness.

This battery pack fit on my Garmin Rino 530HCx. I lost the charging base for my rechargeable battery and this battery pack allows me to use disposable AA batteries. It's quality is sufficient.

Since Garmin in their infinite wisdom discontinued making a lithium-ion battery replacement for the Rino 530HCx, I was forced to purchase a battery cover that holds 4 AA batteries. It’s not as slim as the lithium-ion battery and I doubt it is as durable or has as much run time as the lithium battery, but there are few to no other options for a dead lithium-ion battery in the Rino 530HCx. Time will tell if this battery cover works as designed…

This alkaline battery pack does not have the same connector pattern as the rino 532HCx gps. When connecting the battery pack to the device, it turns on when the pack is installed. But when you turn it off, it will not turn on again by depressing the power button. The difference in the configuration of the connectors does not enable normal function. The description did not warn me of this difference. I am a dissatisfied customer. Can this be rectified?

My original battery went bad and there was no replacement, due to its age...But this unit worked great...

Update: I ordered another one of these just to have a spare. I ordered it over a year ago and today was the second time I have pulled it out to use it. I've been using the first one I bought. When installing the batteries one of the metal power leads broke off. Now it is useless. I am going to try to fix it, but after only one use this should not happen. After using these for so long I've decided they aren't nearly as good as my original review. But having one of these is better than nothing at all. If you can afford a new battery, get that. If not, this is okay I guess. Original review: This works leaps and bounds better than my old Lithium battery! Very inexpensive. I think everyone should have one of these somewhere while using the GPS. If nothing else just as a backup. I definitely recommend this!

Great idea. This is the second one I’ve purchased, I have two Rino’s. Batteries last for 3 to 4 days is I turn it off when we come in for lunch or for the day. I remove them when stored and don’t have to worry able recharging the rechargeable. Plus you can just carry spare batteries in your pocket if you want to.

Battery holder arrived quickly, is exactly as described fits and works well.

This unit stated 1 AAA battery and came without the battery and it needs 4 AA batteries and it also stated the battery as "lithium metal" I believe this unit would be worth $20 at the most as it comes. Once the batteries were installed Which I had it worked as it should. If I had known this I would have never purchased it
