Needed a spare since original is no longer available.

Rino 530HCx battery cover
Since Garmin in their infinite wisdom discontinued making a lithium-ion battery replacement for the Rino 530HCx, I was forced to purchase a battery cover that holds 4 AA batteries. It’s not as slim as the lithium-ion battery and I doubt it is as durable or has as much run time as the lithium battery, but there are few to no other options for a dead lithium-ion battery in the Rino 530HCx. Time will tell if this battery cover works as designed…

Adds bulk and weight
This battery pack fit on my Garmin Rino 530HCx. I lost the charging base for my rechargeable battery and this battery pack allows me to use disposable AA batteries. It's quality is sufficient.

Great replacement idea if the lithium ion dies.
I bought this as a replacement for my lithium ion original battery. The lithium ion quit holding a charge and as they are very expensive I decided to try this as another option and very pleased, this is a great idea and an inexpensive alternative to replacing the original lithium ion.

This devise does not fit the Rino 530HCx as advertised.
This alkaline battery pack does not have the same connector pattern as the rino 532HCx gps. When connecting the battery pack to the device, it turns on when the pack is installed. But when you turn it off, it will not turn on again by depressing the power button. The difference in the configuration of the connectors does not enable normal function. The description did not warn me of this difference. I am a dissatisfied customer. Can this be rectified?

Could be better
It fits my 530. Unfortunately if it left connected to the radio the batteries will drain overnight with the radio not even being turned on.(atleast on my radio). The metal connectors inside are flimsy and really get eaten away by any leaking battery acid. It beats Being left without a battery at all.

My original battery went bad and there was no replacement, due to its age...But this unit worked great...

Garmin factory Battery Pack, works great
Works perfectly and it’s really the only option once the factory rechargeable battery dies and no longer will recharge. Be aware if you use a RAM mount to mount this radio, it won’t fit with this battery pack because of the thickness.
