I finally had to try Tailwind after all the hype from the huge Trail And Ultra Running group on Facebook. It tasted a lot different than I had imagined in my head, but I am very satisfied with it and enjoy it for long training runs. I have a very sensitive stomach, so I was scared to try something new. However, this was easy to digest and gave me no issues whatsoever. I'm not sure if it shows in my review or not, but I bought the caffeinated Raspberry Buzz flavor. It is less of an intense flavor that I was expecting and it's not something you'd probably enjoy sitting around the house sipping since there is a slight salt taste, but it's perfect for long distance running! It's not so sweet that it gives you a stomach ache and it doesn't have a bad after-taste. I still love the flavor of Nuun tablets a bit more for shorter workouts, but this stuff will be nice for super long days during marathons, ultra marathons, and long-approach mountain climbs since it has some calories in it. I needed some calories that Nuun didn't offer and I hate eating Gu products on the run. As such, this stuff is perfect for me. I'm very happy with it. It's easy to clean out of my hydration pack bladder after runs too.

**update: Tailwind customer service called me and sent me a replacement. They were very helpful and apologetic. Back to 5 startsI have been using tailwind for years and it is a great product. This shipment has something wrong with it. The powder has turned solid and I have no ability to return it or get a replacement based on the rules of this order for some reason.

I purchased this product a while back and started using it on my regular bike rides. Since is not cheap I would only use it on 100 milers or more. My experience with it was really good. The product is well mixed with water which gives you a similar texture. I realized that substituting this instead of making regular stops for snacks helped me cycle for longer without stopping or carrying many snacks in my jersey pockets.As far as flavor, the raspberry buzz works fine for me. I haven't tried other flavors but this one isn't too sweet or too bland. Just perfect when mixed with the right amount of water.

Tailwind is a great drink for high endurance sports. Replaces critical electrolytes, isn’t loaded with garbage, and tastes great. Worth the price.

Tailwind is the perfect balance of flavor and function. Raspberry and tropical seem to be my favorite. I use this for a flavor boost and kick of energy while mountain biking. tailwind allows me to balance my nutrition for long days in the saddle. It helps to prevent the gut bombs. Love this product!

I’ve heard fantastic things about tailwind and gave it a try on a short run and long run during my marathon training.1st attempt - I had mild GI distress. 2nd attempt - It literally took me out for 12+ hours. The only other time I’ve ever experienced anything like it was when I was medically diagnosed with ‘Travelers Diarrhea’.The consistent energy it provided was amazing! But the aftermath was downright scary!Additional kicker - I do not have a sensitive stomach and a ‘drink’ or training fuel has never effected me before.

I love tailwind and all flavors!! I feel like I can always push more and get more miles running while using tailwind. Highly recommend!!
