Great product for the money
This hose was easy to install, and I especially liked how you can cut the end to your desired fitting. Is a lot longer than the original hose but that's ok! I love the yellow turn handle on the clamp. it made it a lot easier to tighten especially in a tight spot.

Level 8 Catastrophe
Melted first time using it during a hot water cycle. Not completely, but enough to slip right off it's already janky (poor) adaptor end with metal gasket, pulling itself out of the drainage inlet I have for the appliance, onto my bathroom floor, where it then proceeded to drain, flooding my bathroom completely, and had I not just walked in the door and immediately witnessed the tsunami fast nearing the front door of my apartment, well it wouldve been a totally cataclysmic event and I would've wound up with a ruined apartment with most everything inside ruined too, if not also electrocuted in my sandals, so thank God I came home before that happened. I got away lucky, only having to spend a few hours cleaning everything up, shop vacuuming up all the water, and rewashing all my blankets, sheets, and towels I had to throw immediately to the floor in a desperate attempt to soak up and stop water as much as possible as fast as possible, to save not only my but all the units directly below me in all seven floors beneath, probably a few adjacent as well. (As I learned a neighbor did by running their bathtub and forgetting about it). Yeah. It was hard enough to secure the hose as an extention to my washer's in the first place even with the gasket because it would always slip off until I duct taped it on, so I have since then used a combination of full forces of, uh-um, "creative engineering" including a heavy duty industrial polymer adhesive, an extra outer layer of same rubber material I used from hose itself from cutoff excess piece from adaptor end which I place over the gasket once that was secure in place, and also taped over that layer to hold everything underneath that. So although arbitrary by modern standard, this would be one of those instances when the old addage most certainly would apply, "You get what you pay for." The name of this product is now hilarious to me "My life unit." Well it sure could've been, indeed! Well I had to buy accessories frugally after just purchasing two new appliances. Live, learn, smile, don't be mad. In with anger out with love. :)=

not great for sump pump
the description of this item said:Ideal for Pedestal Pump Discharge, Works with Submersible Sump PumpsI have a small sump pump in a shallow pit that a hose like this would be good for but I don't think this one is built to hold up under much pressure. It seems kinda cheap. Anyway, the hose is kind of narrow for a sump pump. The adjustable end is very nice but the other end is a hard plastic and I had trouble figuring out how to adapt something to it. It's a weird size. No idea what it is made to hook up to, but maybe it's a washing machine thing? Normally I would slip an adapter over and tighten down, but since it is a hard type of plastic I'm worried it may break. I ended up going with something else for my project because I couldn't hook this one up.

Not everything fits one size!
The attachment that goes to the faucet on the bath tub that is square, which is where I need it does not work at all, even with the tightening strip.
