Great price for a great product
When you spend thousand of dollars on the purchase and installation of a natural gas-powered fireplace, you don't realize how many cheap parts it has that could fail at the worst possible time and leave you shivering. The cheap plastic clip that held the cheap thermostat on my expensive Majestic gas fireplace broke and rendered it useless. I wasted time and money on a number of failed solutions until I tried the Durablow MFB TS120 Fireplace Stove Blower Fan Magnetic Thermostat. It's the best solution out there. The magnet is strong and provides a great metal gripe. The wires from my unit fit easily on the thermostat. So far, it's exactly as advertised kicking on at around 120 degrees and cutting off at around 90 degrees. You will need to experiment a bit on placement to get the best results. The only product improvement I'd like to see is if the seller included a set of female wires along with the thermostat. I'd be willing to pay a couple of extra bucks for those.

Works Great
This thermostat switch works great! The blower in my Lennox fireplace as it was originally installed was controlled only by a dimmer style switch to vary the fan speed and flip the fan on or off. The fireplace was also originally installed with a remote control accessory to turn the flame on and off, so I always thought it was odd you had to get up to manually turn on the fan (first world problems, I guess). This magnetic switch was simple to install, and only required me to splice the hot wire on my power cord and add a couple female spade connectors to connect up to the switch terminals. No wiring or connectors were included. What you see is what you get--the switch attached to a magnetic mount/bracket. No instructions were provided either, but as long as you're somewhat familiar with basic electrical work, shouldn't be a huge deal to figure out. If you're not sure, you're probably best off contacting a contractor or handyman to assist.Time will tell how long the glue attaching the magnet to the bracket will last with the heat from the firebox. However, at this price, I'd have no issue replacing these every couple of years if needed.

Seller has great service
Fireplace fan thermostat bracket looked very nice and was easy to install. Just hooked the wires up from the fans already installed under my wood burning fireplace and clicked it to the metal bottom of the brick lined firebox. Built a nice cheery little fire. A soon as the box around the fireplace warmed up the fans kicked on just as they should. Went to bed. Woke up to the sound of the fans still running with the fireplace stone cold. Switch is stuck on. Looks like the contacts in the thermostat welded shut the first time they came on. Sent feed back to the seller. They are sending me a new one. Makes it a great purchase on my part.

Good thermal switch, Need to experiment with placement.
The switch works great on my freestanding gas stove to turn my home-made fan system on. My stove has a pilot light that I leave on so much of the bottom stays a little warm all of the time. I've been using the switch for about a month now and I ended up putting a 1/16th inch spacer of engine gasket material to hold the switch a little off of the bottom of the stove. Takes about 15-20 minutes to turn on and runs about an hour after stove is shut off. This works fine but I'll experiment a bit more. I built my own fan system to include a furnace filter housing behind the stove - no more blowing around floor dust.

It does what Its designed to do and so far it works as advertised
It does what it is supposed to do and I have been happy with the purchase so far. The only question I have is why couldn't they include a wire with a terminal installed? It's so cheap and it sure would have been a nice touch. So if you don't have some THHN laying around you will probably have to run to a parts house or Depot and get a small chunk for your application. It's a pretty simple concept so the directions were fine but I am mechanically inclined. Your mileage may vary.

So easy even I could install it.
I have a Napoleon fireplace. The fan was not working. I replaced the fan but it now ran all the time. It would run when the fireplace was off. I replaced the thermostat with a Durablow Stainless Steel Magnetic Ceramic Thermostat Switch. It couldn't be easier to install. Being magnetic, it sticks to the bottom of the fireplace box. There are two terminals. I took the wires of my old thermostat and placed them on the Durablow thermostatic switch. The fan stopped immediately. Once the fireplace came to temperature, the fan turned on. It worked as designed.

Works great and was easy to wire
It would have been better if a 6 ft wire could have been pre-installed and sealed. I just didn't like the connection exposed creating a hazard. I bought some shrink tubing to seal around the device and connections. Worked but does not look particular good, but can't see it anyway behind my stove. For the wire, I purchased a Christmas extension cord which was cheap and used just the wire from it.

Magnetic thermostat no so-good.
This magnetic thermostat should have a better quality control:1. The glue between magnet and base is not strong enough. The magnet is easy to be dislodged. Breaks apart very easily. Once the magnet is dislodged, it is difficult to grab the magnet out of a concealed place like the fireplace.2. The thermostat is fastened to the base with two rivets. These are attached very poorly -look like dimples.3. The thermostat click sound when it opens or closes. Distracting.4. I purchased other thermostat, It included the cables: VICOOL Magnetic Thermostat Switch with High Temperature Resistant Wire for Fireplace Blower Fan, Wood Stove, Gas Log FireplaceIt was not so expensive and it is better to work with. At the time I wanted to buy it, it was out of stock. So far, it still working.

Perfect fit.
Easy to install because it's magnetic—no need to struggle with screws during placement. As far as I can tell, all these devices make a noticeable 'clicking' sound when they activate.

Good quality but pricy
Does exactly what you expect it to do, maybe a little sensitive to heat, but you can move it around easily and find a spot on your fireplace‘s floor that isn’t as hot. Very simple technology, do it is overpriced, unfortunately!
