The leather makes me feel more manly.
I've been using these straps for a couple of months. They have held up well so far. I like the fact that they are leather. In fact they may not be as durable as nylon straps, but the leather has a better "cool factor", at least to me. The only negative was that the leather seemed stiff when I got them. So I rubbed them down with oil to make them more pliable

Awesome straps. I have some leather harbinger straps and they started getting a little frayed after heavier deadlifts when I used a bar with better knurling. Until those break, I'm using these as backup because they felt durable when I used them. The interior is soft, but I chalked up the inside part for grip too. They're alot wider, thicker, and more comfortable than my leather harbingers.
