My previous bump case was great at first, but it was a composite of a outside metal band, and a semi-soft plastic liner. After a few drops, the metal band started getting dents and deformations from the drops, causing the case to not fit well, and for the metal edge to be able to catch on my pocket. This unit is a great improvement. like my other case, it seems to be a composite, but instead of a metal band, it has a stuff plastic band on the outside, and a slightly softer interior bumper with a front and back lip that is a bit taller than my previous case. I think this case is less likely to deform when dropped, and the taller lip offers more protection.My phone screen did break once with my previous case in a freak drop. In that drop the phone fell 30" onto a ceramic tile floor, and the corner of the case aligned with a grout corner such that the corner of a tile hit the glass before the bumper lip hit the grout. It had protected countless drops (whole house is ceramic tile) but that one time the drop was a worst-case. This new case with it's taller lip would probably have protected me.I think this is a better option for bump cases. It costs more than my previous case, but if it prevents the glass from breaking, it pays for itself. Living with ceramic floors is hard on smartphones.

I wish I could give 2.5 stars, but 3 stars is fine.CON: It makes your iPhone have a recessed headphone jack! All two of the times I've need a headphone jack (old headphones and my car), neither fit. :( My Lightning cables, however, all work great; I've used Anker Powerline, Powerline II, gofanco bendy, etc. No issues whatsoever.CON (only Dbrand users): Sadly, it also ripped up my full backing Dbrand skin, too--a real doozy to try to put the Rhinoshield on with it and the Rhinoshield just did not work with it. I replaced the full backing with Dbrand's three individual pieces (without the corners) and then the Rhinoshield fit perfectly.CON: The buttons are not that great. They take a much harder push and are mushy! The worst of both worlds, somehow. Much harder than usual and I have to make sure I'm holding the other side of the phone or else they won't activate/click/depress. Maybe it needs a break-in period. Maybe the symptom of this: the left/right edges don't hug the phone well--they have some tolerance so I can actually squeeze the bumper closer and it'll tighten up a few mm.PRO: Color is fantastic: I got dark blue / navy.PRO: Comfortable to hold.PRO: it looks like the protection is quite sturdy. I've done a few unplanned drop tests onto hard wooden floors: no issues and the protection does look QUITE strong. I can see why people could drop this 11 feet onto concrete and not expect issues.NEUTRAL: Any of the grip gained is by the shape, not the material. The actual material is neutral in terms of slippery/grippy; I'd compare it to a wooden table top.Even with all the flaws, it's still worth 2 to 3 stars. It looks like it'll protect the phone well. But I'm not a huge fan overall. :( I was really psyched; I watched at least 10 YouTube videos and this looked like the golden key. But sadly the buttons, the recessed headphone jack, and the lack of extra grip felt a bad vibe in my mouth.

Isn't this the sleekest and classiest case ever? I have one of these for my Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and just had to have one for my iPhone 6 Plus and it's an incredible case for both phones. I've dropped them too many times to count and nothing has been broken, cracked or scratched. It's super strong and protects your phone like Fort Knox. It doesn't cover your entire phone but protects it marvelously, it also still fits in my armband easily with the case still on,it's a great case. RhinoShield really knows how to protect phones . Very happy with it .

WOW this is like wrapping a car tire around your phone to protect it... ought to do the trick... till you notice... there is no protection for the back of the phone....yeah, my beautiful iphone is just open to the elements on the back side ... I looked it up to see if they forgot to send me the back of the case and I read that this company doesn't think you want or need back coverage, that fall survival is enough and a scratched up phone shouldn't bother you if you are one to choose this product. I guess I am not one to choose this product. Such a near miss... I will have to return... Still it is a heck of a bumper guard .. I just want the whole thing

This is my third bumper from Rhinoshield, not because of failures but the Version 1 would rub off the front and back like an eraser making it look horrible, nevertheless it keep both my wife and I iPhone plus free of damage from the boys playing with them.The new version is sooooooo much nicer, with the edges now being tapered and rolled for a easier grip and skins down the bumper even better then before. So get one today, you’ll thank yourself for buying one when that sound of your Apple product hits the concrete and you can say oh well confidently and continue with damage free. A+

I have been looking high and low for a simple but tough bumper, without the back plastic covers or other nonsense. After trying several products I pulled the trigger on this and am finally content. It fits nice and snug and doesn't move around with button presses like some of the others I have tried and is close to the original iPhone 4 OEM bumper than I have seen so far. Very pleased. Button action is great and plenty of corner protection without being too large. If you want a simple but tough bumper, give this one a try

My second one rhino and I am very happy with it.I drop phone too many times.It protects my iPhone

This case is awesome. I've dropped my phone, had it fly out of hands, and bounce forcefully against the ground and my phone remains unscathed. My only issue is that once you take it off, it seems to lose it's durability. I've had my iPhone 6s replaced 3 times due to OS screen malfunctions and when I put this case back on, it's not as snug as when I put it on for the 1st time. So this is a replacement. I love that it doesn't make my phone feel like a brick.

I dropped my phone from waist height on to a wood floor, it landed on the bottom right hand corner of the phone in the bumper case. The screen has shattered outwards to the top left of the phone leaving about 30% of the screen usable, the rest unusable. I need a new screen and the protection given by the Bumper case was zero. I cannot recommend this bumper case.

I for some reason got one for the iPhone X when it says compatible with iPhone 6 / 6s

Ich persönlich bin kein Fan von normalen Cases, da diese die Ästhetik, Haptik und das Gefühl von Qualität von mobilen Geräten so drastisch verändern. Für mich liegt der Vorteil in Bumpern daher darin, dass man das Gerät trotzdem noch relativ gut sehen kann, aber wenige Millimeter Abstand zur Auflagefläche und dem Display bzw. der Rückseite des Geräts herstellt.Der Bumper ist relativ hart, aber weich genug um ihn an das Gerät anzubringen. Grundsätzlich fühlt es sich sehr gut an. Der Bumper hat durch das oftmalige Abnehmen mittlerweile etwas an Stabilität im Bereich des Lightning-Port-Anschlusses verloren – er hat dafür aber auch schon eine Menge Stürzen abgefangen und damit wohl das ein oder andere Malheur verhindert.Ich nutze den Bumper von Rhino Shield in Verbindung mit dem exzellenten  "Impact Protection" Displayschutz von Rhino Shield .
