Good professional Crimps
Just received these Crimpers, I made my first cable with them and they are working perfectly. I borrowed a pair of Ideal Crimpers from a friend and I feel like these do a slightly better job. The connection felt a little more secure . I was making Cat 6 cabling with QVS brand Cat 6 Jacks, these jacks do not have the back crimp that usually holds the wire into the jack ( I know cheap jacks LOL) with that being said while the crimpers did dimple the end it had no ill effect on the crimp or the jack at all. I tested the wire by plugging it in to the Router and the computer and it is what is providing the internet access to the computer i am writing this review on.The crimpers do have a little nob for release but you do not have to use it, simply press down a little harder and the crimpers will spring open. The cutter is located on the back side of the Crimps, one side says Strip and the other says cut. The cutters are comparable to any other cutter on crimps. The stripper portion works but you will need to be very careful not to cut through the cables located behind the outside jacket. With that being said I have made many wires with other crimpers and none of them have stripped the wire well, I do not rely on any all in one crimps to cut and strip wire, I use a pair of small side cuts to cut the wire and the jacket. These crimpers do the job and feel extremely well made, i love the size and how they lock down when not is use. I whole heartily recommend these crimpers they will get the job done and feel great in my hand.

Does an excellent job without straining your hand.
This tool makes crimping a much easier job. It’s design makes it very comfortable to hold and easy to squeeze with enough pressure to get a good crimp. It makes a clean cut in wire, again, with no strain to your hand. It was definitely well-worth the price.

It's a Klein, quality is built in.
Yes it's a Klein, overall seems good.I was never a fan of ratchet mechanisms. But that's a personal thing. For the price, it's a good starter crimper. It's easy enough to use, seems like the final crimp on the rj45 connector is a tad tight. But the die should be able to be adjusted to ease it a tad.Value for the money is good, not for the experienced user I don't believe.Never been a proponent of guide bars to help make cuts standard.Overall performance is good.

Great tool
I am running wire in my home. I have a cheap crimper that that seems to have problems with pin #7. I got tired of it and got a better crimper. No more problems and all my cable ends are good.

Don't go cheap on this kind of tool
A crimper is a crimper, right? They all serve the same purpose and do the same thing... well, not really. I used to be under the impression that the cheap ones that come with kits are decent enough, they get the job done. Then I got this.I'm not used to holding a crimping tool without nearly getting my finger cut off. The guard alone is worth the extra money. But how it strips UTP cables is like butter. The cheaper variants usually have to be carefully handled so that it doesn't cut the copper. This one just straight up strips it like butter, and though I've caught the copper a couple times, it mostly keeps them intact. When you use the wire cutters, you get a feeling of actually knowing they've been completely cut through. The cheaper ones use crappy blades will chip and dull easily. Even new, you never feel like it cuts all the way... mostly because they don't. This one does. The only part I'd say is on par with the cheaper versions (and probably all others) is the crimping because, well, they all crimp the same. However, the industrial feel gives you more security in knowing the thing will actually stay on.I'd easily recommend this from beginners to intermediates. If this is all you do all day, though, I can't personally attest to the durability of that kind of work, so I can't speak either way. To me, though, it was worth it.

Works better than the "no name" brands
I bought a cheaper no name brand and had to return it. This Klein works perfect. It slices and makes the connector connect to the 4p phone line wires when crimping. It strips the 4P wire cleanly as well. It feels well built for every day use.
