The media could not be loaded. I also purchased the Spinbase Max to go with Spindeck Max. The combination is amazing and well worth $1100 for the pair. Like Grandpa said “You get what you pay for”.

It’s a Dual, it’s a Thorens, it’s an Andover.This specific model has enjoyed a long good life under different brands. It could be mistaken for a Pro-ject Automat A1, but it’s a more advanced model than the Pro-ject Automat A1 which comes without a subchassis unlike the Andover. Overall, this is a long lived German design made to price for a beginner or occasional listener who does not fancy tinkering with cartdrige swaps and the like but wants a pleasant sounding record player with automatic functions. It’s a quality turn table, but not a high end one. Entry or lower middle class is a better fitting description.First impressions on day one: it looks better than in photos and it plays well. It was easy to set up, and there is only a slight visual imperfection. It’s not enough for me to send the deck back since everything else is right on the money, but it should not have passed quality control (see pics). In reality, it looks worse in the photos under magnification. What’s more important, it plays at a steady 33.3 rpm as per the Whirlometer app.The levers might be plastic, but they are smooth in operation, and there is no need to handle them roughly. A slight touch is enough to engage them.The hinges for the dust cover seem to be spring operated. The cover opens and closes very smoothly.The two things that are a bit cheaply made are the platter and the felt mat. Nevertheless, the platter spins almost without any visible wobble, and the music does not suffer in any way.The automatic functions work flawlessly.I will be updating in the future with more impressions and experience.

Beautiful design and excellent audio engineering was used to create this great record player. Not a top of the line record player for audiophile snobs but for the person who wants a great player to listen to great albums it is amazing. Power to the people!

Works great with the Base Max!

In general, this is an attractive option for those seeking a higher quality auto function table. However, the Otophon OM10, while a good basic cartridge, should not be on a $600.00 turntable.
