Pure Garden Half Umbrella Outdoor Patio Shade - 9 ft Patio Umbrella with Easy Crank - Small Canopy for Balcony, Table, or Deck

I have an east-facing window with direct "searing" morning sunlight that also contributes to solar heating of a small enclosed porch. Because this window has a beautiful view to the outside, I really hated to install blinds or curtains. I tried a traditional round umbrella, and it provided no real shade. However, THIS 9 ft half-umbrella in a beautiful shade of blue is a GAME CHANGER!! The umbrella pole is easy to assemble/disassemble, measuring 1.5 inches in diameter, with a solid fit in the base. The crank feature, rather than push up, is fantastic, allowing me to fully or partially extend for the sun angle. In addition to providing awesome shade from the sun, it looks great on the deck. The umbrella also helps to reduce the amount of solar heating in the porch, and it doesn't hide the view from the window. This umbrella is well made and a great deal. (I saw similar models online 2 an 3 times this price.) Even if I'm not outside, I am definitely enjoying this umbrella every morning!!

It’s exactly what we needed. It’s well made and sturdy. The crank works well and the umbrella opens smoothly and stays open. I got the teal and the color is beautiful. It doesn’t have a strap to hold it closed when it’s down, so that’s my only complaint. We’ve only had it for about a week so I don’t know how the color will hold up. The fabric provides good shade in a very sunny area. Price was great and I think I’ll get a second one soon.

The half umbrella is perfect. Nice color. Sturdy. Pre built.But it doesn't come with a stand so you have to pick your own. I had to cut off 3 inches off the umbrella poll to fit into my space to accommodate the stand, not a big deal.Overall it looks and feels great! It's a semi-permanent situation now.

This is the perfect umbrella for small spaces. Make sure to get a sturdy base. It is light and high gust of wind may blow it away.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. Fits my small balcony and provides that extra bit of shade from the summer sun. It’s really well made! Was very easy to assemble and fits into any umbrella base you get off Amazon. Noiseless opening. It does make a clicking sound when closing -think that could be a normal locking feature for outdoor umbrellas. Do note, it’s not UV blocking. It doesn’t come with ties so I just added my own Velcro tape to keep it fully closed when not in use.

Absolutely love this half umbrella. I use it for my apartment’s Juliet balcony which is a balcony without a porch. I bought a clamp thing with it to secure it to umbrella and balcony bar. Blocks the sun and rain so you can enjoy the view without the rain and sun glare. Built pretty strong for the wind and close umbrella when ever with the convient hand crank. Definitely recommend it for anyone.

Great design and affordable price. Umbrella material isn’t waterproof and everything under the umbrella gets wet. Does keep patio cleaner and great for sun protection! Wish it was waterproof material, would give 5 stars.

I can’t believe I moved a full sized umbrella around on my deck for three years for my southern facing patio door. Living in a windy place, it frequently tipped over too. This half shade umbrella has been so convenient, looks great, and has withstood Midwest winds. It’s done wonders to keep the summer sun off of my floors and help cool the house. I work from home and dislike using the a/c and it’s shade has given me an extra couple of hours with the windows open before I have to turn it on if it gets too hot. I was surprised that it didn’t come with a base so had to purchase that separately. We’re prone to summer storms in the afternoon so I either close it before they happen or haven’t kept it open if I have to leave the house to see it’s performance in a thunderstorm. Lightweight and easy to adjust up and down or pull backwards a bit to fully open and close since I have a sconce against the wall next to the patio door. Doesn’t sit quite flush but I haven’t played around with the assembly and it hasn’t changed it’s performance.
