Upgraded version of my favorite bark collar
I had owned the previous version of this collar and it lasted for several years and through 2 different dogs. It finally cracked and I had to replace it with this upgraded version. They added several upgrades to this product including better safety collar, much longer range, mini USB charging system, adapter that allows you to charge bother remote and collar at same time using only one outlet. This is an excellent anti-bark / training collar for any dog. It has long range and is very responsive. I haven't measured to see if I could get 900 ft but it covers every inch of my standard suburbs of Chicago sized lawn. The remote is easy to see and adjust on the fly. The remote also has a built in LED mini flashlight to help you see at night (great for picking up if you are taking this with you on a nightly walk). This has 2 channels so if you have 2 or more dogs you can assign collars to channel 1 or 2 and control both of them from the same remote. You can also access any of the 3 modes from the remote which are beep, vibrate, and static shock. The beep is used first first and if the dog doesn't correct you move to the vibration which can be set to an intensity level of 1-99. This just vibrates the collar and doesn't hurt the dog but is definitely different from the beep. The static shock setting delivers a shock to your dog that also can be controlled in intensity from 1-99. We have never gone above level 15 and now keep it set to level 5 on the shock. I think in 5+ years of using this product with 2 dogs we have actually had to use the shock setting all of 2 times and at very low settings. Dogs seem to adjust to the beep and vibrate along with verbal commands and used that way this collar is a safe, effective, and very humane training tool that has truly worked for both of my dogs.Sometimes my dog won't come in from the yard when being called but usually just a beep or two on the remote and she is heading over to the door and ready to come inside. Also works well for training your dog to stop jumping or pretty much any behavior that needs to be corrected. Like anything else though, there isn't a magical tool to "fix" your dogs problems...any training requires some effort and repetition and a dedicated owner to make it work.Great product, I have already had at least one other dog owning friend buy this for his two dogs (he got two collars and uses each one on a different channel) after he dog sat for me and had a chance to use my collar. I would definitely suggest this product to anyone looking for a bark / training collar that is user controlled and not triggered automatically.

Great Product, and an Excellent Value!
I'm rather impressed with the quality, and functionality, of this product, especially for the price. It's well made, sturdy (I've admittedly dropped the remote a few times, with no apparent issues), and certainly gets the job done when needed, even with my rather headstrong, 8-month old male Shepherd. I'm not sure it will continue to be as effective when he's fully grown, but for basic reinforcement of training, it definitely fits the bill. The only cons I've experienced thus far are as follows...1) The little rubber tab that is intended to pull out the entire rubber insert/seal covering the charge ports out of it's seat tore away off after a few charges, but it really doesn't affect my ability to still get the seal out from the corner. Maybe just thickening one of the corners, for better fingernail contact, would work better?2) I sometimes wonder if, even with the longest prongs, it's making a constant good connection with his skin on the shock setting due to his fur, as sometimes he responds much more noticeably to the shock setting than others. However, this either be due to the collar still being a bit loose (I recently set it to the tightest normal setting I could... see below), or it could just be an inherent, and unavoidable, shortcoming of the concept as a whole, yet if so, I honestly can't envision a better way to do it?3) Having some sort of instructions on how to loop the collar for smaller dogs (he was a runt, and only about 30 lbs. when I first "introduced" him to it) would have been appreciated. While I did ultimately figure out a workable configuration, I pride myself on having excellent problem-solving skills, and still scratched my head for a few on this one! LOLRegardless, the unit is an overall excellent value in my opinion, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again... even if, or when, this one possibly reaches the end of it's lifespan. I frankly don't foresee that happening any time soon, though, unless the battery eventually stops holding a good charge? Only (a lot of) time will tell on that one, though.

Spotty connection with remote
The strength was good... when it worked. It kept cutting in and out of connection with the remote. I would be standing right in front of my dog trying to get the vibrate part to work and it refused. When it was connected, it was fine; still couldn’t get the shock part to work. Don’t know if I had a lemon or what, but I had to return the product after only 3 days of “use”.
