Q: Dear Simtive store, would white vinegar corrode the beads?

The beads are stainless steel. Whatever cleaning solution I use, I dump the beads out of the carafe into a strainer and give them a quick rinse before letting them dry and returning them to the storage container. Vinegar shouldn't be a problem.

I used these in a stainless decanter, I swirled those babies for like 10 minutes. Looks like it will take possibly 2 or 3 hours.

I think it would clean the decanter but doubt it would remove the smell I

Q: Can these work with isopropyl alcohol instead of water?

Don’t see why not the water lubricates the balls so they can loosen the dried coffee or tea and alcohol is also a wetting agent and solvent
