A smple and perfect slow feeder for my puppy,
This is a great product, with a simple design but sturdy. My puppy still licks/chews/bites the bowl after finish eating food in it. A typical plastic slow feeder does not last long. This one is perfect for my puppy. In one week, he stopped his habits of licking, etc. I rate it 10 out of 10.

Great for slowing down feeding; best for dog with long snout
Our golden mix was aiming at a world speed record, we think, in chowing down her meals. Literally, before we had a chance to cover the rest of the can and put it back in the fridge, she was finished with her meals! All the pet experts warn that gulping and chowing food is dangerous, especially for larger dogs, so we are relieved to have found this bowl. We previously tried a suction base insert thing in her previous ceramic bowl...but it didn't stay put, and she couldn't really get to the food. Most other slow feeder type bowls had two problems for us...they were plastic (no, thanks) and they were designed to sit on the floor, which doesn't work for our old girl. I found this Neater Feeder insert bowl, and we love it! First feeding was a little awkward, as she looked at me like I'd lost my mind! She tried to nibble, but walked away. And whimpered. Oh, the DRAMA! I ignored and went about my business, and a few minutes later, she returned with determination. It took her almost 10 minutes to finish the first meal, but two weeks in with it, she averages about 4 minutes....a FAR CRY from her typical 15 seconds! She just needed time to adjust. The bowl is stainless, good quality, strong, durable...all of that. I love that we can sanitize periodically in the dishwasher. It's a little tricky to clean by hand because the channel is deep.To that point, I believe this bowl will only be suitable for a dog whose snout can actually reach down into the deep channel. Our girl is golden mixed with husky or malamute (we aren't sure), so she get in there. A dog with a flatter face or short snout will be very frustrated and maybe not able to get the food. It's about 3" deep, and only about 1 1/2" wide (the channel). This bowl insert fit just fine in her existing elevated feeder (we replaced her ceramic bowl), but we decided to go ahead and get the large Neater Feeder base with leg extensions anyway, and glad we did. It's a bit large, but it's doing a great job protecting the wall, woodwork and floor from the usual spills and splashes. I reviewed that separately, if you're considering it.Great products, a little expensive, but we know it'll last a long time and our girl is worth it.

Works great, really a 2 cup bowl
The bowl fit well and works great! The side slots are smalled than i expected, which worked great. It really slowed my lab down when eating, however he struggles getting some of the last kibbles because it is small. My only complaint is that the image is 2 cups of food. It could probably hold 3 cups but the one cup wouldn't be working in the slow feeding manner. Overall very happy with it, good value. Looks good and easy to clean too

Finally, a slow feeder that worked!
Perfect size and helps her slow down when eating; the puzzle bowls didn’t work for my dog. So glad it is stainless and not plastic. Excellent product!

Effective Slow Feeder for My Dog
Using the Neater Pet Brands Stainless Steel Slow Feed Bowl has significantly improved my dog's eating habits. It fits perfectly in our raised feeder, and the design effectively slows down his eating, which has helped with digestion. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and easy to clean, making it a practical addition to our pet supplies. One thing I particularly appreciate is how the design encourages my dog to eat more mindfully. It’s not too challenging, so he doesn’t get frustrated, but it does enough to prevent him from gulping down his food. This bowl holds a good amount of food, accommodating his meals without any issues. However, I did notice that the bowl can be a bit noisy when he's moving it around while eating. Additionally, if not placed properly, it might shift a little in the feeder, but these are minor inconveniences compared to the benefits. This bowl has become a crucial part of our feeding routine, combining functionality with ease of use. The slow feed design has really made a positive difference, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve their pet's eating habits.

Caution!
3 out of 5 starsThis bowl has a great design that really helped slow our dog’s eating, which we appreciated. Customer service from the manufacturer was also excellent and responsive. However, after receiving a second bowl to replace the first one—due to the metal splitting in a way that could cut a dog’s tongue—we experienced the same issue again. Unfortunately, this points to a defect in the product itself. It’s disappointing because the concept is solid, but the durability and safety need serious improvement.

Makes my dog slow down her eating.
The bowl works well for our Pattie mix. She would remove the silicone divider in her bowl we used prior to this. Now she just eats and cleans the bowl without problems.

Good quality but perhaps overpriced
Good item - it's well made. It slows them down a little and with the 3/4 cup size it holds the right amount but is a bit frustrating to them sometimes since it is hard to get the last pieces out. I do think it is overpriced for what it is though.
