Great Value Great Filter for Great Coffee
This is a review of the Mr. Coffee 8-12 cup coffee filter model UF50.ASIN B0005YWP5YNote: manufacturer Sunbeam. For years I had used a generic permanent filter which was a pain in the neck to clean. Then disposableswhich came in a bag of 700. They seemed a touch large and somehow allowed grounds through - on and off.I decided to try the name brand to use with my Mr. Coffee machine. For reference I use the CG-12.On arrival the outer cardboard box was caved in on one side. The shipping container was less than sturdy. The filters were oddly not affected. Safety in numbers as they are closely packed - as I would expect. As described these are white, basket style, flat-bottomed.Getting one filter at first was a bit annoying since they adhere to one another. Finally separated one out. The paper seems a touch thin versus the generic I used before, comparing the light striking each filter.Seems like people like dimensions.Height of Sides 2 3/8 inches. Base diameter 3 1/4 inches. The filter is not an exact fit to the brew basket, but when centered the difference is irrelevant. Consider it expands when the water added. The top of the filter is approximately 3/8 inch from the top of the basket- the same approximate distance as in the manufacturer's picture.I use 5 1/2 heaping teaspoons. Water reservoir filled completely for 12 cups.Sturdy by 3 criteria: (1) The filter held up with no visible collapse. (2) No holes or tears after brewing. (3) No grounds in the coffee. These work. At a bargain price with free shipping. There are "no grounds" to not buy these (pun intended).

exactly as expected
There's not a whole lot that can be said about coffee filters. These fit perfectly in my Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffee maker. They seem sturdy and didn't rip or tear after getting wet/being used. They kept particulate matter out of the decanter as brewing was going on (which is basically what they're meant to do). They were flavorless and odorless so they didn't interfere with the beverages I was preparing. I do like that they're unbleached. These may not be the best to use for certain non-coffee beverages (like Crio Bru ground roasted cocoa, which tends to soak up a lot of moisture and clog these filters). But when used as intended, these perform quite well.In the end, I'm happy I bought these and will do so again when I run out!

Worth their weight in gold
If you drink coffee you know. These work and I am not in jail for the dumb things my coworkers say. Like, "good morning"

Designed to work with Mr. Coffee machines.
I was using Melitta and BrewRite filters in my old Mr. Coffee brewer, simply because that's what my grocery store stocked. Both brands would cause the water-line to overflow above the side height of the filter, resulting with grounds in my cup. I read in the Amazon reviews that these filters were taller, which ended up being FALSE. All three, the Melitta, BrewRite, and Mr. Coffee filters have a side height of 2 1/4 inches, based on my personal measurements. The difference is that these filters have an increased rate of flow. Therefore, the water-line never exceeds the side height of the filter, because it flows through the filter faster. I guess the moral of the story is that each brewer has an ideal flow rate. It's best to use the filters made for that machine whenever possible. As an added benefit, the coffee I brew has a better taste. I recommend these filters to those of you who are using a Mr. Coffee brewer.

Stays straight
THESE WORKED-Have been using cheaper filters from Walmart, target and they ALWAYS folded over almost immediately after putting it in the Mr Coffee maker! This brand stayed straight,INCLUDING during or after the brew time and no grounds were in my coffee! Bye bye cheaper filters they always sucked, but you get what you pay for lol!

Not tall enough for the basket of the coffee maker
I’m surprised that I could not find the right size filter from mr coffee to use for the coffee maker. I found a taller version at a local Meijer store from Bunn that work great.

Best filter for the money
Simple ultra light weight filter and strong enough for any amount of coffee grinds you add to it. I just pinch the two sides and out goes the used grinds. It filters easily with zero solids. Works great.
