Can it be programed for a 4 digit code?

Yes, but master must be 4 digit as well. I ran into this same issue and found that the number of digits used for the master dictated number of digits to be used for the door.

Is this compatible with push bar doors?

No but they do have one that does.

Can these units be keyed alike?

Yes, but I had a locksmith key mine; they just replaced the cylinder so it was pinned alike. We have 3 doors our units are on and that helped me to be able to keep up with only one set of keys for them.

can you set lock and unlock times on this?

Yes, you can set lock time and unlock time on specific days and also have different groups with different codes and times.
