JDM ASTAR Super Bright PX Chips 7440 7441 7443 7444 Red Brake LED Bulb

I am using this LED for 2 different vehicles...On my 2016 Civic EX-T sedan, the bulbs are slightly snug but confidently fit in the lower pair of brake lights. This bulb is too long to fit into the high-mounted 3rd brake light, and it is slightly too wide for that socket, even though that light takes the same part number. The bulbs did not induce any warnings or codes as they are in a position where they only are activated with the brakes - the brake lights are not used as turn signals on this automobile. Therefore, no additional modifications are needed as brake lights. The red LEDs are notably brighter than the halogens they replaced during the daylight (I looked side-by-side, one brake light with halogen the other with LED) and significantly brighter than the halogens at night.On my 2018 Suburban, the bulbs are very snug and took significant effort to fit into the sockets. I had some concern that I'd break either the bulb or the socket with installation, but ultimately did not. Since the brake bulbs are also the turn signal bulbs on this vehicle, these LEDs will hyperflash and cause dashboard warnings. Because this vehicle has a computerized flasher and not a traditional flash module, the only way to eliminate the hyperflash and warnings is to use a resistor or have a special program uploaded to the car's ECM. I used one 50W, 6 Ohm resistor, purchased on Amazon, for each bulb. The red LEDs are very marginally brighter in daylight - the only sure tell which side had the LEDs was the instant-on effect of the LED. At night they are significantly brighter than the halogens.For red-lensed vehicles, these red LEDs are excellent. The brand is well-respected so I anticipate they will last for several years.

I bought these bulbs (in red) for my 2001 Honda CR-V to replace the stock bulbs since my job as a rural mail carrier has me constantly using my brakes. I wanted bulbs that would be bright to make me easily visible to other motorists for stopping frequently at boxes. These bulbs are great. They are VERY bright (shouldn't blind anyone bright of course) for red led bulbs and the light color and pattern looks great in the housing.Another important aspect of the bulb brightness for me is that the full power brake light is significantly brighter than the low power parking light. And while I think the low power parking light is maybe a bit brighter than they really need to be for that function, the difference when activating the brakes is significant enough that any driver should be able to spot the difference between just parking lights and when you apply the brakes.Installation was no problem for these bulbs in my vehicle. Simple plug and play for me. Of course if you are using them in a turn signal location then you will need a load resistor or led compatible blinker control module for them.

These appear to be a newer version of the JDM bulbs that I bought about a year ago. About half of the elements in one of the old bulbs had failed, but I liked these bulbs so much that I took the chance that these newer bulbs would last longer. I've tried several other brands of tail / brake light bulbs and was very disappointed at the small brightness difference between the brake light off / on and the tail light on brightness. What good is a brake light if people behind you can't tell when you apply the brakes? Anyway, these bulbs say the brake light is 3x brighter than the tail light, and this really is true. I love these bulbs because the tail light brightness is excellent and the brake light brightness is even better.

Pretty bright and long lasting so far. I didn't need load resistors to prevent hyperflash until I swapped out the front signals too. But I do recommend buying the resistors to have just in case your vehicle behaves differently, and you will probably not only change the rear bulbs. These cost a lot more than OEM filament bulbs, but they'll last forever. They were just as easy to install as OEM bulbs and are pretty darn bright. They aren't as bright as I thought they would be, but they're still plenty visible at night. I think because of the way the LED's are placed on the housing of the bulb it doesn't reflect the light in the taillight housing quite as well as filament bulbs. I hope these last for the life of the vehicle so I don't have to change them again. Great buy!

At first I couldn't be happier with the bulbs, bright red as described and super easy to install. Till a week ago, I get pulled over for a busted taillight...to my surprise my bulb literally fried within the bulb socket, yes I have load resistors for them to prevent the hyper flashing. I’m just surprised it didn’t cause the entire electrical system to short out on the car. Ill try contacting the seller, based on their response, I’ll re-rate this review.

I loved the brightness and color of the brake lights. They fit perfect and worked great...for 1 year. I am disappointed they did not last longer as I really liked them otherwise.

They are much brighter than the standard bulb for my 2004 Honda Civic. These bulbs fit fine in the space available for the brake lights. They do NOT fit in the third brake light mounted in the back window of the car.Updated: After the car died, I switched these bulbs to a 2015 Honda Civic. Still work great, BUT they cause radio interference in the 2015 Civic. Not on every station but on two of the ones I like most.

I installed these about a month ago and so far it's been great experience. I have installed the tail/break red LEDs and reverse backup white LEDs. Installation on our 2010 Subaru forester was super easy. I'm pretty sure it was not much more than 15 mins of work. Everything worked on a first try. I'm attaching two photos. One is of the break lights compared to the original break bulbs and the other one is the reverse LEDs vs original bulbs. While having the car in reverse I had to stay on the break so you can see the break lights to. I believe they ship from US and I am in Ontario, Canada and the shipping was faster than what amazon predicted. So far I can recommend. The longevity is still a question. Regular break / tail light bulbs lasted us about 2 years.

These are BRIGHT!Easy install, plug-n-play.Mazda CX-7 LS, 2011I highly recommend these. Factory bulbs melted parts of the plastic bulb housing. I know these LED bulbs release less heat, so it is safe to say I don't have any more concerns with possible fire.They are very bright, so that to me equals heightened safety on the roads, especially when driving in the winter months in Canada when it is darker.

Super happy with these lights. Simple installation too.

Bought these things they sat in a drawer that section off for my different bulbs and relays until May of this year(22) I had some spare time so I decided to put them in fast forward to 15 September the one light doesn’t work at all the other light the centerpiece doesn’t work. I only put 342 km in my car last year because I’m learning to bike more and be more active which doesn’t matter but the problem is they were barely used which says this is an inferior product
