I did not weigh the product but the shipping weight with the box says 5.25lbs. I love the product as it looks, smells and feels like genuine shea butter. It's not soft but not hard either, when on your hands it melts like pure shea butter. The items is clean and the packaging is just like it appears: a box with labels and the product is in a clear plastic bag inside the box. I will buy again from this seller as I feel confident that the product is genuine.

I use this Afrimports raw unrefined shea butter as an additive in my hand-made all-natural soaps; I previously used refined shea butter, and it caused problems in the soap-making process. When I started using the raw unrefined shea butter, the process became more consistent and predictable, and the results are now better; the soap is more moisturizing, the soap lasts longer, and my customers are even happier with my soap. Highly recommended!

Creamy product I use it for body butters and it works very well. I was not particularly fond of the smell I have purchased other Shea Butters and this particular scent was almost like olives like when you buy olives and it has that olives bar scent? I'm not sure how to describe it but basically a strong shea butter scent but the final body butter product was not strong like before it's melted down and made into a body butter. I'm on the fence if I would buy it again though there's another brand that I purchased here on Amazon that doesn't smell quite the way this shea butter smells but this shea butter as I said was creamy and was not dirty looking like the other better smelling shea butter so yeah I'm on the fence about whether I would purchase it again however my body butter products came out very well and customers like it.

I absolutely love this butter! I have tried several raw butters and this is amazing, I make skincare so it has to be the real deal or I don’t repurchase! The only thing is I tried ordering another and it say unavailable and not sure if or when it will be so that’s disappointing

I've been ordering from this supplier for over a year in increments. I think I've totaled 60 lbs altogether. I use this product in soap (cold process), creams, sugar scrubs and have never had issues with quality or shipping. I actually found them on here after ordering from their catalog some years back. I know some folks have had issues with their shea on arrival, fortunately, I have not. I will say to be mindful of the time of year you order especially if you don't live close to a distribution center.If you happen to get yours in one of those plastic containers in the summer and it arrives gritty. One thing to be mindful of is it's probably softened or melted somewhat and should be fine as long you remelt to temp and hold for a few minutes. Another is, shea does often have fiber from how it's made, just pluck the little bits out and boom your good. If your looking for something highly refined this isn't your product.P.S. Please start offering 10 and 20 lbs deals. There are too many small businesses that need larger amounts but not as high as 75+ lbs at a time.
