Is it safe to breathe in for long periods of time?

Well, kinda. Its basically the same stuff they put in vape pens minus the nicotine, flavor, and fragrance. So if you believe vape pens are safe then yes, if you dont then no....

I've never used a fog machine before. I'm planning to put it at the top of the stairs. Will this "spill" down the stairs?

Any fog juice will create fog that is hotter than air, therefor rising. You need a fog chiller to cool the fog down, below air tempature, in order for it to hug the ground and stay low.

Do you sell an indoor fluid?

Froggy's sells a quick-dissipating fluid that we have used in an indoor (well, garage with good ventilation) haunt setting. Used it in a fog chiller and it worked fairly well, but is nowhere near as thick as Cryofreeze (which I wouldn't use indoors, ever).

Do you need a machine

Yes, you absolutely do need a fog machine. If you want the fog produced to be on the ground and not up in the air you'll need a chiller as well. With a chiller, the ground fog produced by this product is awesome. Very thick and stays in place longer than non-ground fog.
