I'm surprised how effective this product! I have my lululemon bag which has a black heavy stain on it and been trying to clean it for a long period of time. I gave up actually, until a friend of mine told me about colonil. Tried it, followed the instructions and have my purse air-dried. Viola! The result was amazing! Stain gone and no product residue at all! Highly recommended!

I read the reviews and felt confident about trying this product out to help get some old Repetto flats back in tip top shape. Amazon shipped it in a bubble mailer and the cap was off with some of the product wasted in the packaging. The folks at Amazon need to choose more secure methods of packing in the future - the can was rolling freely in the mailer and it had no other protection.I used a small amount on a cloth and noticed it had a tacky finish/feel to it after the product was rubbed in.Tried cleaning up the leather soles of the flats and that didn’t help - it only served to darken the leather and made things worse. The one positive was the fact that it did not damage the top leather of the shoe - I simply had to wipe away the tacky finish with a clean cloth.Also tried cleaning the leather insoles of the shoes and saw no difference. Interiors looked just as worn/dirty and I’m pretty sure the product started to wear down the name branding.For the price I paid, it’s not effective. I feel I’m better off getting saddle soap or another product and trying to clean the dirty areas onto shoes with that.
