This 110V model can be used to wall plug (110-120V) directly.

I purchased this motor and all it does is hum for half a second and never turns, I am unable to turn the shaft manually either. Is the motor dead?

The adapter I use as an input :120 vac 60Hz,31w output 12vac @1800ma. It is a very small motor so probably any adapter from 1:20 AC to 12 V AC should work.

In the case of this particular TYC40 motor the CWCCW (Clock Wise/Counter Clock Wise) each time power is applied to this motor it changes direction and continues to run in that same direction until turned off and on again. Shaft rotation is continuous 360 degree of travel. In otherwords "Auto Reverse" - YES but only when turned off and on again. Then rotation continues in a constant and continuous 360 degree rotation.
