Sturdy metal bed and slide
The bed is easy to assemble. Kid sleeps about chest high for me so perfect for reading stories and goodnight kisses. He loves it and has slept in his own bed since we got it.

Great bed 🛌
Such a cute bed! My son loves it. Not hard to put together but definitely read the instructions and follow them. Great buy!

Warning!!! Warning!!! Buyer Beware!!!
Very cute in the picture, but highly dangerous. The whole bed is metal and when the mattress is placed the side rail offers no protection from my son falling out of the bed. The play area underneath has no standing space (although I wouldn't want it any taller). The bed is the height of a standard window, meaning it alines with the window. My sons room has several window which means when he is in his bed there is the risk of him playing in the window or worse falling out. I plan to take the loss on this one and get rid of the bed and find something WAY more appropriate. I would not recommend this bed for anyone and would suggest looking into something shorter, not made of metal, and safer for this age group which could possibly fall out of the bed (God forbid he should hit the slide on the way down). He has never spent one night in this bed because it gives me nightmares and this learning lesson turned out to be a very expensive one. Never again and now I always read reviews before buying.

Good bed for a 3 year old fire truck lover!
This bed frame was pretty easy to set up and the instructions were pretty close to actuality. The bars that the mattress actually sits on are a little bit weak but they use a plastic connector to connect them together which gives them some strength. My 37 pound son jumps on his bed and I'm not worried about it collapsing or breaking whatsoever.

My 3 year old loves it!
My son loves this product. Went together easily and he can’t get enough of pretending to be a fireman! It’s not too high so I don’t have to worry about big falls

Product details mis leading... Somehow there are ...
Product details mis leading ...Somehow there are 5 items showing on description causing a confusion that it includes the wrap and mattress also..Majorly the edges are very sharp and not at all finished properly. Very very dangerous as you all know a 7-10 year old kids try to jump and they can hurt very badly..now I am trying to find the alternate squishy covering for this edges..(total 6 edges on loft). This is a heavy bed.

we may put up crib bumpers to help with that but otherwise a good
I was a little worried since the tent came in a separate shipment from the bed itself but the tent came today. My daughter loves it! seems very stable although a few of the corners are a bit sharp so she'll have to be careful. we may put up crib bumpers to help with that but otherwise a good product

For short term use (1-2 yrs)
I'll start by saying that the rail just fell off of this bed. I am giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because we got about 2 years out of the bed before this occurred. At first the glance and use, the bed is nice. After about 6 months we had to start regularly tightening the screws. In hindsight and going forward we will use lock tight on the screws.Pros:CuteKids will love it (slide in particularly)Space underneath is great for another bed or storageCons:Cheap piecesPoor designThe railing does not have good supportThe railing is needed for kids to haul themselves into the bed and this it gets a lot of wear and tearRailing does not go all the way across and is not a solid piece of the bed, but a part that comes offAs you can tell the railing is the issue. If the rail was one piece with the front of the bed, the bed would be a better purchase. A great purchase. This railing fell off while my son was sleeping with a couple of kicks. He's 6 and not a pro football player. To tighten the railing you have to unscrew the ladder to get to the screw. One would think that this would make the railing safer, but since it was the welding/bond on the internally pieces is what failed, it doesn't help.I am on hold with the company now to see what they can do to remedy this situation. This is the second time calling because initially we did not have the IM number from the bed, however we did have the manufacturing number and UPC (Model # 5481096 | UPC 029986548115). I have been on hold for over 30 minutes, so please make sure you have the IM number, model number and factory number prior to calling them. After about 45 min hold, I was able to get the part ordered. To the company’s credit, once I gave the information above, they told me they would ship the part and never mentioned a cost to me. They also asked for the part number, however we were not able to supply this information. I will update once we receive the part.I have put the company information below, but I am not sure this information will be allowed in the review.Company info:DHP Dorel Home Productshttp://www.dhpfurniture.com/Hours of operation:Monday to Friday8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ESTSaturday & SundayClosedToll-free number: 1-800-267-1739Company info:DHP Dorel Home Productshttp://www.dhpfurniture.com/Hours of operation:Monday to Friday8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ESTSaturday & SundayClosedToll-free number: 1-800-267-1739
