Perfect, as long as you don't have to carry it very far
This chair is very nice. Unlike those cheaper folding camp chairs, this one is actually comfortable and looks like it will probably hold up. When it unfolds, it is basically a real chair, with perfectly decent, solid arms and legs etc. It doesn't sag or feel weird sitting in it - it works just like a comfortable, normal chair. The only downside is the weight. All that structure and rigidity is heavy. If you are familiar with those cheaper camping chairs, realize this one easily weighs twice as much, and while it folds down into a carry bag with a carrying strap just like those cheaper chairs, the bag is easily twice as big around as the cheaper ones.So if you are car camping or want this for an extra guest chair around the house or patio - where you will never be carrying it more than about 25 yards - it is absolutely perfect, well worth the upgrade over those junky camp chairs, just get it. On the other hand, this would be a pretty dubious choice for a beach chair that you want to lug 1/4 mile from your car. You would definitely be hating your life if you had to carry two of these half a mile on a hot sunny day.Alps Mountaineering makes good, reasonably priced stuff. I've become a fan of the brand over the last few years, and this is another product that exceeds expectations for the price.

Very comfortable camp chairs
We have four of these chairs, and we consider these the most comfortable ones we’ve ever owned. They are a little heavy but we don’t use them to carry when hiking. Three are seven years old, and one we just purchased. Everything we’ve bought from Alps mountaineering has been first class. Would not hesitate to buy again

6 years and holding strong
Bought this chair in 2016 and it's still holding up great. Gets weekly use between kids sporting events. I'm 5'11" 240lbs and no signs of breakdown.

Great chair, needs a pocket and better cup holder situation
I love this chair and bought it fully knowing the pocket/cup holder situation sucks. My friend has had this chair for years and every time we go camping, everyone fights to sit in it when he’s not using it. Unlike the typical camping chairs, this one doesn’t cut into the back of your legs at all and is very sturdy— you can actually use the arms to push yourself up to a standing position. I purchased a bag meant for wheel chairs which gives me an extra pocket on the arm and now it’s much better (I like to have a spot to put my phone/e-reader)

Heavy Duty Chair
Have used the chair on multiple camping trips. I weigh 220pnds and the chair is rock solid. I would highly recommend this chair to anyone.

Solid Heavy Chair
I am short so the problem I found right away was if I sit back in the chair my feet won't touch the ground so the front of the seat cuts into the back of my thighs. If the front of the seat wasn't so stiff or there was some kind of padding there it would have been better. I was thrown off by the picture of children sitting in the chairs so thought it would be a good size and height for me. The other problem I found was there were little sharp sand size spots on the arms. I will have to use a nail file to smooth them out. I do like the arms though because you can get in and out of the chair easily. The cup holder kinda leans down so good for bottles but not open containers or they would spill. The chair is heavy so I wouldn't carry it very far. I will probably keep it for company when they come to my home and find another online that would better suit me. So I gave it a 3 that it is just okay because I can't really use for my purposes but it will be ok for someone else, that the photo showed kids using it and looked lower to the ground, and that there were sharp points on the arms.

Buy this chair...
I have a chair that us 15 years old. I bought it for $19 when these folding chairs first came out. It is still in excellent condition. Since then I've very bought one here or there. Some lasted a year. Some a few months. One last 3 hours. And the price has gone up. They've become junk. I bought a more expensive one a Field and Stream. Super comfortable. But after 3 weeks at least 4 rivets broke. So I returned it. I found this chair a few months ago on amazon. I love orange so I put it in my cart. Unfortunately the price was a little higher than what I wanted to pay ($64).Well when the Field & Stream chair finally broke completely coincidentally this chair dropped down to $36. I jumped on it. I've had it for 2 weeks and I must say, the quality is leaps and bounds better than any chair I've ever purchased of this type.Do I recommend this chair? Yes absolutelyIs it worth $36? Yes absolutelyIs it worth $60? Yes absolutely

Awesome Folding Chair
Bought this chair on the basis of LOTS of positive reviews and a visual assesment that it was a sturdy item. It did not disappoint!! Among its most appreciated features are the really sturdy fabrick construction of the seat and the sturdy frame. Very comfortable seat....not too upright, but just right. The armrests are also at just the right height and are made of high grade plastic, NOT flimsy fabrick. Cup holder is just right for a bottled or canned beverage. It should be noted that I do not fold the chair and carry it long distances....it is a little heavy, but that means it's going to prove durable. I don't know about everyone else, but I hate paying good money for things that break easily.Wanted to buy another one of these as a gift for a friend, but waited too long. It's no longer available from any source...sad, sad!!

Comfy
I love this chair. It’s comfortable, cool in hot weather. High enough I can get out of it easily in spite of old hips and knees. But I have never been able to get it into the carrying case. It arrived in it. So it fits. But!It’s heavy and awkward to carry so don’t plan on carrying it far. But still, I love it!

Sturdy Chair but poor design
We were so pleased with our two chairs, we bought four more for our family...the frame is very sturdy but all the chairs have torn at the seams and you can't buy replacements.
