I am very pleased with this oil. I've been struggling for about 5 years with my hair and scalp since I did a keratin straightening kit at home with bad results. My hair was acting like it was very protein sensitive with lots of breakage, excess shedding/hair loss, and tangled hair that would become like dreadlocks overnight. I tried a few drops of the karkar oil right after I received it, and it seemed like I had some hair breakage. I wanted to try again, so I added half a teaspoon to my diy olive oil and mango hair butter, and I am super excited with the results. My hair is so much softer and it seems like the excess shedding and breakage is almost completely under control. My hair definitely feels fuller, and I think it looks like it's growing faster, too. Even though I added the olive oil and karkar oil at around the same time, I've tried olive oil in the past and I was never this impressed with the result. I'm really glad I gave this a try.

This oil is not thick, but it’s deeply nourishing and very effective at maintaining moisture. It has an oily, lightweight consistency that spreads easily through the hair without feeling overly heavy. I especially appreciate the addition of tallow in the blend, it gives the oil an extra boost of richness and makes it incredibly soothing and hydrating for dry or fragile strands.I use this as part of my chebe powder routine, and it has made a noticeable difference in helping to lock in moisture and strengthen my hair. It works beautifully when layered with chebe powder to protect the hair shaft, reduce breakage, and retain length. The oil helps the chebe mixture stay pliable and prevents my hair from drying out between applications.The scent is earthy and natural, which I don’t mind, I received two bottles of the 8oz and I have about 1/8 of the first bottle left. So I have been using this at least one or twice a week when I remoisturise my hair. Overall, it’s an essential part of my moisture retention routine and one I highly recommend if you’re following a traditional chebe regimen or just looking for a deeply hydrating, strengthening oil.

The above bottle shows the ingredients clearly. I was excited about the sesame and both ostrich oil and cow tallow. I specifically bought this oil for the ostrich oil. The ingredients in the new packaging mentions cow tallow but no ostrich oil. I was very disappointed. The smell of the oil is nice, but I probably will not repurchase because I am on the hunt for an ostrich oil product.

I purchased this product after transitioning from 4B/C natural hair to relaxed. While my hair was long and beautiful after relaxing, it was SUPER DRY!!! Dryness eventually leads to breakage..... While I tried a couple of other products initially to moisturize my hair, they all failed. I finally tried this product which I hadn't open yet and boy am I glad I did! This is the only product in my arsenal that truly moisturized my super dry hair!I am so thankful for this product....I use a very SMALL amount on my strands daily, and at the roots a couple of times per week. My hair is super shiny and looks very healthy!! The product does weigh the hair down, just slightly as compared to the just relaxed look. At this point, I have only used the product for about three weeks, so I certainly can't attest to hair growth, but plan to repurchase as a means to keep my hair moisturized and healthy looking. There is a slight grittiness to the product, but it really isn't noticeable by touch or visible to the naked eye. The product smells amazing, but the smell dissipates after a few hours...not disappointed by this.

I love this I have really thick natural hair my mom used to call it straight from Africa hair it's the thick an urban African or straight from Africa hair but this stuff is amazing and it smells good and it works really well on my edges they tend to fall out on a regular basis when I get my hair braided but I've been rubbing this on it's like my net at just never fell out I swear my edges grow back the next day that's how good this is give or take a few days but you do I'm looking for some stuff that make my hair grow and it works really good a man edges am I can retain length now a little bit is no Miracle work is no Miracle World I use that it don't work milk grow but this this works my hair ain't felt better softer and it holds moisture better and my hair is dry up but this stuff is the best my edges be like unbelievable right now

I’m so happy to have finally found an oil for my hair !! No lie this oil is amazing . I’m transitioning back to natural and still figuring my hair out . (I’ve done the big chop twice and always ended up relaxing again after a year or two but this time I’m not playing ) still figuring out porosity and LCO vs LOC. To me LCO makes more sense but both methods left my hair feeling dry . Coconut oil left my hair greasy but still dry and olive oil wasn’t much better. I’m so happy to have found this oil! My hair is now soft and moisturized , It’s oily still but not greasy- like the oil has actually penetrated my hair instead of sitting on top . I love this oil !!!
