Scotch 07899 Water Resistant Automotive Masking Tape, Blue, 50 mm x 50 m

I bought this tape to help prevent an infestation of cluster flies in my motorhome, which we store on a farm away from home. Last year, they got in through the fridge vents and we got a nasty shock when hundreds of them woke up and started flying around while we were driving to a music festival a year ago. We used this to tape over the fridge vents during the end of October and beginning of November -- the time when the flies are looking for somewhere to hibernate. Shortly after applying the tape, it absolutely poured for days -- but this masking tape stayed in place. I decided to renew the tape a couple of days before COVID lockdown -- after it had been in place for two weeks. The tape came away easily and left little to no residue. I've no idea how it performs for paint masking, but I suspect it will perform at least as well as other reasonable quality tapes.

I used this to protect the paint on my car whilst doing some sanding on my headlights. Protected it well and came off without ripping paint and no deterioration when getting soaking wet also.

I have used ordinary masking tape many times before, never again !!This is easy to apply and remove, yet stays firmly in place when masking off an area. I have used this on my car, and it leaves no residue when removed. Also used it in the house, and it works great on all painted and fabric surfaces (leather and cloth).

Good adhesion, sturdy tape.

Used it to mark out where I had taken a badge off the car. Great stuff, was easy to apply and easy to remove. Didn’t mark the paintwork.

Nothing to dislike. Really good quality tape
