Jams of low number of sheets
Very easy to jam on less than the advertised number of sheets that can be processed.

the unit is a good size. I am not bothered it doesn't take ...
I was surprised when I checked the instructions inside saying not to put paper clips/staples through it as it said on the description prior to purchase that it accepts staples & paper clips so that needs to be altered. On the box it has a staples/paper clips icon & that is not crossed through as not being applicable. I haven't tried shredding any credit cards with it yet but have used it a couple of times for shredding paper. It has a smooth quiet shredding action, the unit is a good size. I am not bothered it doesn't take paper clips as I probably would never put paperclips through a paper shredder but I am disappointed can't put staples through it as that would have been useful not having to take them out or having to check the paper for staples every time prior to shredding.

Should be called Bob Marley, it loves Jammin
When it works it’s great. What I found was that the container isn’t deep enough and paper would back up and jam in the mechanism, then it’s tedious task of trying to pry the paper out that’s jammed.Once I got into a rhythm it then overheated.Would make a great casual home office shredder but not suited for a big clear out of paperwork.

Broke after 30 minutes of shredding
I had about 2 carrier bags of shredding to do , mainly payslips old tax forms nothing too taxing. Payslips are folded and sealed type about 3 sheets thick. After about 30 sheets it jammed, then fed half the bin back out and got stuck in the rollers. Cleared that eventually and the auto feed sensor was broken stuck on.Took it apart I'm not one to return basic things it's just cutters on rollers, so cleared all the paper out cleaned it up. Reassembled. The paper feed sensor is flimsy plastic on a microswitch although still intact it's stuck on with nothing interfering so must have bend the plastic in the first jamIt then did about another 15 pay slips and jammed again. Really jammed so had to take it apart again, cleared it all out.Did another 4-5 sheets of tax forms single A4 and jammed, reversed it gummed it all up and overheated. It's now been sat cooling down. So it's a preice crap. But it's cheap and will prably do you for the odd bank statement.Took it apart to many times to return it so if you have a chunk of shredding to do buy something more expensive.

Ideal for home use
I had its predecessor for 20 years but it started to die of old age. I am pleasantly surprised by this replacement and cannot understand the derogatory comments. It now has a more beefy motor and will deal with 5 sheets although I will confine myself to 4 in the hope of a further 20 years (which would put my age at its demise at 102!). Credit card receipts dead easy. Just fold them a few times and put a stiffish wad of say 3 or 4 through at a time. Credit cards themselves - use a pair of scissors! Didn't like the flap hanging off the motor so simply took it off. Only had it a short time but I like it. If you want to put stuff through on an industrial scale clearly you have to pay more but for 20 odd pounds its the bees knees.

Average shredder
This product was less quality than I'd anticipated, it's not overly sturdy, paper stuck on several occasions of first use and does not look whether it will have longevity.
