Good torch. Bought 2
There's endless torches on here. Endless. with so many claims and so many just don't meet those to varying degrees. Its nice Maglight have caught up with better LED technology. It's full Maglight quality and durability. Its nice and bright and as Maglight, its as bright as it claims.Doesn't claim to be millions of lumens as others on here, but they don't deliver on that.It takes standard batteries. Personal preference on this, bigger fancier batteries can drive more power from other torches. But then they need to be charged.I travel with this, so the ability to easily get new batteries is important.Power to weight is good.Go to The Torchsite co uk and get a glass breaking end cap for it.Rounds off the versatility of it, if one ever needs to break a window, especially a double glazed on, it can do it when just banging on it with a normal torch is not likely to break it.Finally, like with the old bulb models, the end screws off and it can stand up and illuminate a room like a candle, where as I don't think any? of the others do this as they only throw light forward.

Fantastic 2AA LED
First maglite led I have brought and I am impressed. Had the older style mags in the past but when led took off maglite got left behind for years. I was looking for a more reliable torch for walking the dogs and work. I have to say this is ideal for the job 272 lumens and a throw of over 100 meters. Battery life is good 2 and a half hours of use off 2AA is pretty good too. I have been using rechargeable batteries in this and it works well. As for reliability only time will tell. Had my mag 4d cell for over 20 years and still works like the day I brought it. At £25 it's a bargain for a reputable brand torch.

Very bright and light
Metal cased and focusable LED light. Handy, durable and only takes 2 x AA batteries. Comes with a belt pouch to protect it and to keep it in easy reach. Highly recommended
K**!
maglite quality keeps on going.
I normally like to carry ledlenser torches as the quality is generally excellent until recently when things went downhill, allow me to explain. I work in a prison and having a small torch on my belt is a must have when working nights where I need to check on landings and vulnerable prisoners at risk of self harm. I used to carry a ledlenser p4 which is a tiny pen diameter torch that you could twist the head to focus the beam through cell doors, the newer ones have a push and pull design that pivots on a plastic shaft and is a sloppy change. The biggest gripe is that the screw threads for the tail cap are made of plastic and god forbid you should cross thread them!. I picked up the Maglite pro led and was pleasantly surprised to see that the lumen output on mine was up to 332 lumens from the advertised spec and provides an excellent beam that goes from spot to flood rather than the other way round ( I prefer this) the other good thing is that there is no switch to fail like even some high end lights on the market. battery life is rated at 2.5 hours which is thirsty but with the dazzling light produced is to be expected. the only thing I don't like is the holster which wont fit a 2 inch duty belt and doesn't have a retention strap to keep the torch from falling out. the torch is rated at IPX 4 which means it will survive water being poured on it at any angle but may not survive being submerged.

The torch is very bright and is of very good quality, the 'holster' is useless
This is a huge upgrade on the Mini Maglite in terms of brightness

Quality torch. Compact size but very bright.
This is the second one of these I have bought. I thought the previous one was faulty but it was some dodgy batteries from poundland ha ha. Love the torch and the belt holder. Would be lost without this torch in the winter months. Perfect size and very bright.
