Great product
This thing is a money saver. Saves me having to buy new replacement keys for dead batteries. Gives you a key case which clips open easily and enables you to access the battery. Battery can be replaced by removing the solder and fitting the new battery in. Now I just have to replace batteries should they die and not the full key

Perfect
This worked exceptionally well and was great value for money. The clam-shells fit together perfectly and the added micro-switches were quite useful as one of my existing ones was defective. Delighted with this. A solder sucker was helpful in removing the old battery holder and heating the sides of the existing case before using a stanley blade/knife to separate is recommended.

Good replacement. Shame no BMW badge (but you can get separately)
Got this so I could cut open my original key and replace the battery, which kept going flat.Cutting the old key was quite hard (I destroyed one of them as you have to put a lot of pressure on the brake the seal.....but resulting in cutting through some of the circuitry), but replacing the battery and casing was very simply after that.Battery still goes flat though, so my issue appears to be with the charging module in the car........worth checking first if you're in a similar boat, before risky destroying a key like I did.

A little bit tricky but i found a YouTube tutorial & all went very well. Turned out to be a great job.

Cost Effective BMW key fob replacement
I was quoted £184 by a BMW dealer for a replacement key fob when the key’s battery failed. With some patience and care I managed to remove the circuit board and transfer to the new key fob shell. The new battery needed a small soldering job and it’s now job done and key works great

Just doesn’t work
It doesn’t work at all. Worked for the whole of maybe 10-20 minutes then it topped again.

Bought this to replace the battery on fob sealed unit great reacement had to cut the old fob to get the board out to change battery with was supplied witch need soldiering well impressed with case works well
