Awesome backlighting for pretty much any large device (piano in my case). Love that the pieces are segmented so that you don’t have to bend the light strip like most others; it even includes little stick on anchors to help keep the ends in place. The app has so many cool scenes, but the pics don’t do it justice (my pics feature the “aurora b” scene which slowly fades different aurora-ish colors). Govee is a way more affordable brand next to Hue without sacrificing quality.

The media could not be loaded. As someone who is all about the ~ambiance~ and who despises overhead lights, I adore this backlight.——— PROS ———- Super easy to apply. Just wipe the back of the TV down with the included wipe, peel the tape off the light strips, and stick onto the edges of your TV. It’s hard to mess up, even if you don’t perfectly position the light strips. You can also re-position them if you need to without losing the stickiness.- The cord is fairly long in case your outlet is far away, but it’s also thin enough that I can bundle it up with a twisty tie and hide it behind my TV.- Will work with a TV even if the back isn’t completely flat. I just ran the strip over a bump out that was on one side and it worked fine.- The lights are bright and vibrant. No dead spots.- The Govee app, which is what you need to customize these, is easy to use and reliable, which can’t be said for other tech gadgets like this that require an app.- There’s about a billion different pre-set light settings, and you can also make custom settings with any color you want and even set each light independently. You can set favorites in the app so it’s easy to find the ones you like.- Works well with my Google Home. All I had to do was add the backlight in the Govee app and then select “works with Google” and search for “Govee” when adding a device in the Google Home app. It stays synced/paired and I don’t have to mess around with it.- Brightness/color can be adjusted both in the app and with voice commands. There’s a button on the cord on the back of the TV to turn it on/off manually too.- Can be set on a schedule with the Google Home app and I think also with the Govee app- I’ve had the backlight on my TV for about a month and so far haven’t had any issues with the lights falling off or coming un-stuck.——— CONS ———- May be a little small for bigger TVs. I got the 55-65 inch size, and it was a perfect fit for my 55 inch TV, meaning that the lights ran from one edge of my TV to the next on all sides with no gaps. There is enough cord to cover the corners if your TV is bigger, so technically it will fit a 65 inch TV, but the corners might be a bit darker than the rest. If you want it to be seamless, I’d go with a larger size. The light strip is flexible, so you can bend it a bit to make it fit if it’s too long.- The “sync to music” setting is pretty bad. I can tell that it is actually reacting to the music, but it’s mostly just erratic flashing.————Here’s a bonus list of commands that I’ve found work with Google:- Turn on/off the living room TV backlight” (tip: name your backlight something fun in the Govee app if that’s too much of a mouthful)- Make the TV backlight blue (any color works here, even ones like “indigo” or “light pink”)- Make the TV backlight candlelight (gently flickers shades of orange/red)- Set the TV backlight brightness to 20% (or whatever % you want)- Make it spooky in here (flashes lights purple/green/orange with spooky music)- Turn up the love (flashes lights pink/red with romantic sax music)- I believe there’s others as well but those are the ones I’ve found work———Overall I’m really happy with this light and glad I bought it instead of some of the pricier ones I was looking at. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but for now I’d definitely recommend it!(BTW: I bought this with my own money, and I wasn’t paid to write this review. I rely heavily on reviews when shopping on here, so I just write these for future need-to-know-everything-before-buying shoppers like me.)

These lights look great. Super simple to setup/install too. Make sure you clean the back of your TV really well. I used cotton balls and rubbing alcohol and went over the area I was installing them 4 times. Make sure before you peel the sticker tape off you do a dry run first to get an idea of the length of the light strip. The light strip is black but the added support clips are white ( silly ) but not a big deal. I do set the lights to a solid color other than flashing and dancing all over the place. They say that the backlighting is supposed to be better for your eyes as well. Definitely makes your entertainment center look more theater worthy. These are the 4th Govee lighting strips I have purchased. Good quality company. I love these things.

Got the 12.5FT 55"-65" one for my 65" TV. Question i had before purchasing this.Is 12.5FT even enough for a 65" TV?- Yes, is enough and the lights looks great!Will it work if my TV is further away from the wall?Yes, well, i am sure there is a limit but my TV is about 13" to 14" away from the wall and is working, Just a tip, if your TV is more than 8" away from the back wall. Mount the led strip more in from the edge. For me I had the top and bottom part 5" inner from the TV edge. I did this because i noticed that when i had it 3" inner from the edge. The lights did not look as good or uniform. The left and right side, i just had them 3" inner from the edge and it looks fine.Are the lights bright enough?- Yes, i only have my set at 50% brightness when the sun goes down and is plenty bright. Sometime i just have it at40% brightness and is fine.Can i just mount them with adhesive cable clips and not use the adhesive on the led?- Yes, i didn't want to use the adhesive on the back of the led strip. I just use adhesive cable clips to hold them up for the top & bottom. For the left and right side. I used the clips that came with the package. I painted them black just to match.Does the music mode work well?- Yes, the music mode works well and is picking up the music fine. The Govee Home apps has a few pre-set that i like.That's it , hope this helps.

This will not react with the movie you’re watching without the add on camera. Otherwise it’s nice for a color or themed backlight. It fit my tv perfectly, and the app makes it easy to use. The lights all work well. The thickness of the wire seems to be quality.

I bought this LED light to place behind my TV, and it completely transformed my setup! The ambient lighting looks amazing, especially when watching movies or gaming—it adds such a cool vibe to the room.The Bluetooth function is super convenient and works flawlessly. I love being able to control the colors, brightness, and effects right from my phone. Setup was quick and easy, and the adhesive sticks really well.

I bought this for a 55" Samsung DU8000, and it was too big. From top to bottom it would have extended out both or either ends just enough to be visible - once we saw that it was too big that way, we didn't even try from end to end so I'm not sure if it's too big that way as well. Bummer as I was really looking forward to using this based on the reviews and being one of the best sellers, but had to return it.

Looks incredible. The app is wonderful and works great. I've had them on practically all the time since I got them
