Dakine Vault Pack

The current model of this backpack is smaller and has less features yet Dakine has marketed it as having the same features but 2 liters larger! To be more specific, the new model is smaller and does not have all the features of the previous model. I just bought the Vault 25L because I was tired of zippers and I liked the 23L my girlfriend bought of the same style. However, when I compared the two backpacks side by side, the 25L looked appallingly smaller than the 23L. That is not a typo, and I've attached a side by side photo comparison for proof. It turns out that the 23L is now marketed as the 25L but is smaller and does not have padded backing! The 23L also has a water bottle holder while the 25L has just two cargo pouches and run-of-the-mill padding for the back. I can't figure out what Dakine has to gain from marketing the smaller version as bigger and vise versa, not to mention dismantling the features the previous model had. I plan on returning and searching for a 2012 model.

A backpack that looks acceptable on a well dressed gentleman. Not a school bag or a hiking pack, but a civilized and fashionable bag. There is a bit of a gap that rain can get into unless you tuck in your sides, and you need to put any water bottle into the main compartment, but other than those two issues, I am very pleased with the bag. Online video reviews of this bag show an older type. This 2015 variation has two side cargo pockets instead of one plus a bottle pouch, and the compression straps have been deleted. One other small thing, the "phone pouch" is for tiny phones. Most of today's popular phones will be too wide for it. But this is a problem on many bags today.

Totally love it. It took me a long time to search for a functional yet trendy backpack that's able to fit a 17 inch laptop. Access to the laptop sleeve is an ease. Great quality too

I read some other reviews that said that what they received was an "old version". Happy to report that the version I received was the same that I saw in a high-end surf store and a far better price through Amazon.

Works and fits good.

I thought this was heavy duty so it would have a padded back, but it's just barely padded and not ventilated. I think the newer models of this backpack do have that, but this specific color does not

Schöner, sehr bequemer Rucksack. Leider das neuere Modell bekommen, das alte ist anders (schöner) gepolstert am Rücken. Ob es besser wäre, weiss ich natürlich nicht ;-), zumindest spüre ich ihn nicht unangenehm am Rücken und die Träger sind richtig bequem. Ich brauche ihn für den Alltag und die Arbeit, es geht wirklich gut was rein. Jacke, fette Schminktasche, 1 Liter-Trinkflasche, Essen, kleinere Einkäufe.... Die beiden äußeren Taschen sind perfekt für Handy und Schlüssel, jedoch die winzige Tasche in der Tasche, die angeblich für ein Handy sein soll, ist wohl der absolute Witz, die taugt allerhöchstens für eine Wrigleys Kaugummipackung (aber keine Dose)!!! Unter den Schnallen befindet sich noch eine etwas größere Tasche mit Klettverschluss, auch super z.B. für ein Taschenbuch. In der Reißverschlusstasche oben außen findet genau mein großer Geldbeutel Platz. In der kleineren Netztasche an der Innenseite des Deckels verstaue ich das Handyladekabel, Handcreme und Bonbons. Dass er praktisch keinen Verschluss hat außer dem Deckel obendrüber ist mir nicht so wichtig, da auch so nix raus fällt und ich ihn nicht auf den Kopf stelle ;-). Aber dass hier eine Rezensentin behauptet, dass die Seiten abstehen und es reinregnen könnte, verstehe ich nicht . Die kann man ganz leicht von der Seite reindrücken und das hält auch wirklich und da steht auch nichts ab. Praktisch kann man auch noch was kleines mal schnell nachlegen, ohne ihn aufmachen zu müssen. habe ihn in schwarz bestellt und da er nicht gerade so sportlich wirkt, kann er auch mal zu etwas leicht Schickerem kombiniert werden. Ich kann diesen Rucksack nur empfehlen, ich liebe ihn....

Der Rucksack kam sehr schnell und hat erst einmal grundsätzlich alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Selbst ein größeres Notebook passt gut rein und es gibt noch ausreichend Platz für weiteres. Die Verarbeitung ist gut, das Design super und er lässt sich super tragen. Das einzige große - und nicht nachvollziehbare Mango - er kann oben nicht geschlossen werden. Zwar geht die Klappe zu schließen, wenn der Rucksack aber nicht ganz voll ist, stehen die offenen Seiten ab, so dass es im Zweifelsfall auch reinregnet. Dafür gibt es - gerade bei dieser Preislage - keinen Grund. Die drei Sterne gibt es also nur, weil der Rest stimmt, ansonsten wären es nur 1-2 Sterne.

J'ai commandé ce sac afin de pouvoir me déplacer facilement et d'emmener ce dont j'ai besoin. De plus lors des cours je pourrais emmener mes affaires ainsi que mon ordinateur.La taille du produit est largement suffisante même si elle est plus petite que les anciennes versions du sac.De plus je regrette certains équipement disponibles sur les anciennes version: la poche isotherme sur le coté, les lanières servant a gérer la largeur du sac et les protections matelassées pour le dos.En revanche on peut lui reconnaitre qu'il est pratique et que le design est sympa. On a un choix de couleurs assez vaste et les matériaux composant ce sac respirent la solidité.En bref beau produit mais qui mériterait des précisions notamment sur les photos pour ne pas induire l'acheteur en erreur.

schönes Produkt von Dakine...allerdings fehlt mir ein bisschen Sicherheit. theoretisch kann jeder einfach in das große Fach greifen. Werde mir dort noch eine Vorrichtung mit Kordelzug annähen.Ansonsten bin ich super zufrieden!

ist ein schön verarbeiteter Rucksack. Als Schulrucksack für viele Bücher und Hefte zu klein, für eine kleinere Menge von Büchern und Heften ideal.
