Hangs onto my tank without issue, siphon holds when the valve is closed.

This works really well to allow for water changes with controlled flow and much lower risk of the hose coming out of the tank. Being able to dial in he inlet water flow avoids storing up sediment and agitating the tank.

Hooked my hose up to the barbed end securely and began pumping water through it to my aquarium. After water was flowing I noticed a large puddle forming on the floor and around my aquarium stand. Upon closer inspection I could see it was leaking through the ball valve switch/lever/on off control thing. Cheap plastic and poor quality ball valve. Sent back for refund. What a hassle. I don’t recommend this.

The product works, I like that it can fit many different hose sizes. My primary issue it build quality. I can already feel the valve weakening and I do not use it during normal operation.

I bought this and a 10 foot piece of 1/2” ID tubing that came with hose clamps and a powerhead. I have the power head hooked up to one end of the tubing and the hook on the other. When I do water changes I fill buckets up with water and treat them with a dechlorinator then I put the power head in the bucket and the hook in the tank then turn it on to fill the aquarium with the treated water. It just makes the whole process easier and less messy.

Works as expected and is a nice accessory. I just wish it was a tad higher quality materials as I feel this would break if handled roughly.

I use fountain pumps to change the water in my aquariums and this thing is awesome for making my water changes even easier. I had a python hook but I stopped using the python after getting the fountain pumps and the python hook wouldn’t fit on my tubing. I never bothered trying to find an attachment to fit and the python hook didn’t have a stopcock like this one so you can stop flow temporarily.

Makes water changes a whole lot easier. No more worrying about fumbling keeping a tube in place
