wow! use for grooming!
long story short I have shih tzus I was sick for a very long time. their hair got out of control. I have used so many things. they got mats :(. I wasn’t about to spend $250 on trimmers and I couldn’t take them to the groomer. these things literally cut through mats. I used three different kinds of trimmers then finally got the idea to try these. If you are looking for a rug trimmer I guarantee these would work beautifully! this was the price point I was looking for! really happy!

New Life to an Old Rug.
I have this polypropylene woven indoor, outdoor rug maybe 15 yrs. I really love it but the weave had fibers sticking up because of the dogs and looked fuzzy. I’ve been trimming it with scissors. Was ready to throw it out and get a new one when I saw this trimmer on Amazon. It worked a miracle. My old rug looks like new. It was an easy process and went quickly. Can’t recommend this enough. Hope I have the rug another 15 yrs.

Perfect tool for beginners!
The media could not be loaded. I'm really impressed with this rug trimmer! As a beginner in rug making, I was a bit nervous about using trimming tools, but this one is super user-friendly. It glides smoothly without getting caught on yarn, which makes the process so much easier and less stressful. The size is just right-comfortable to hold and use for longer sessions without causing hand fatigue. It feels sturdy but not bulky, and it gives me clean, even trims every time.If you're new to tufting or rug making, this trimmer is a fantastic choice. It's beginner-friendly, efficient, and a great value overall!

I just want to carve my rug 😩
Out of the box the clippers didn’t even turn on. Material is very poor quality not that it needs to be for what it should do but it didn’t even do that.

Give your rug a trim
The appearance gives you a homemade vibe when you unbox it. But it works as designed. Our carpet had a LOT of pulled strands sticking up because our cat uses the carpet as a scratching post. After a few minutes of trial and error, I got into a rhythm and shaved the rug down to an even level. It works best going in one direction. Your job is to find out what direction that is. Be careful when trimming. If you lean on it a bit more than required, it will get to a spot and dig into the carpet cutting more than you had wanted. It's not too noticeable, but it could if it happens enough. Just start slowly and you'll figure out the best way that works for you.I'd set the height so that the clipper is a tiny bit higher than the base plate; not even with it. This way, you adjust how much pressure you use to push down on it to catch the loose strands to cut.But overall, well worth the money as it does what it's designed to do.
