Previously, I was an avid cigar smoker but decided it was time to quit. I went a year without smoking a single cigar. But then after retirement I realized I missed that hour or so of simply doing nothing but staring into space, thinking, and smoking a good cigar. In my return to smoking, I bought a sampler pack of cigars to try but when they arrived I realized my old cigar cutter had rusted and could no longer do the job. So I ordered this chrome finish one and realized there was quite a difference between this one and my old one. First, there is a heft and feel to this one that my old black plastic one didn't have. Secondly, and most importantly, this one cuts cleanly and smoothly. And the self sharpening feature is a real plus. This is a feature missing from other cutters and very valuable when cutting a cigar. Too many cutters end up with dull blades and this affects the tobacco wrapper around good cigars by tearing it rather than cutting it. The cutter arrived in a nice gift box and would be appreciated by any cigar afficionando. Highly recommended.

After returning to the mainland from a week in Puerto Rico, I had a deeper appreciation for the cigar. Every cigar bar had the industrial cutting machine on the counter. I did not have a personal one at the time and was impressed by the sharpness and ease of use of those. I purchased a few cigars to bring home and wanted to have my first cutter be a good one. So coming on Amazon and doing some research was a natural thing to do. I saw many cheaper cutters but felt my experience in San Juan deserved "the best" so I was willing to spend a little more. Wow! Am I glad I did! When I opened the display box, the first thing that hit me was its beauty. Then when I first used it, the heft and smooth operation gave me, a new "aficionado", the confidence to make the right cut, quickly, and in a setting of close friends and family, a sense of pride at providing the cutter for the evening. This product is easy to use and looks nice. The price point could be a little lower however.

Got this kind of by accident. Had ordered cigars and a cheap cutter from a cigar vendor and only the cigars showed up. Wasn't worth my time to have the cutter shipped again. Jumped on Amazon and decided to splurge a little. Love the look, the weight and feel of this. Cuts clean, looks stylish, and has some heft to it. I also like that it's self sharpening. I don't regret the splurge.

This cutter is well made and when you have it in your hand you can feel the difference compared to all the cheaply made ones out there. It has some weight to it due to its all metal construction and really put a great cut on the end of my cigars! Would buy again but shouldn't have to because this one won't break!

Nice entry level all metal cutter for a good price! The blades are sharp enough to cut the cigar without deforming, and leaves a clean cut!Perfect for any size cigar, unless you have like a massively insane sized ones!

I received a box today with no cigar cutter in it! I would like a refund or a new box WITH the actual product! This is supposed to be a Christmas present!

nice and sturdy. has a nice hefty weight to it and everything moves smoothly. I expect it to probably last a lifetime. I would definitely buy another one for myself or as a gift.
