What a great idea. Highly recommended.
What a great idea. I have the Tom eight and I can’t imagine not having this to turn it around. Very convenient. It is made of plastic, but it is well-made. I recommend this product.

Good buy.
I bought this for my T-8 Tormek sharpening system and it works really well. Its better than trying to lift it and turning around every time you switch sides. Would buy again.

Great add to my T8
Great add to my workbench as this makes turning from sharpening to honing extremely easy. This’d unit is very sturdy and easy to use and well worth the purchase. Only thing I wish was easier was to have a way to clean the water that collects without having to lift the T8 out every time.

Convenient but overpriced.
This is Handy but definitely priced on the very high side. I think the Tormek sharpening system is awesome. I just wish the prices of accessories weren't so grossly overpriced. The best example is this swivel base and the rubber mat to place under it. I refused to buy the mat and spent $15 on a plastic one that is rigid and will be easier to pour out. The rubber Tormek is $60 if I remember right. Come on Tormek, be a bit more reasonable with this stuff and I will look for excuses to buy accessories instead of only buying the ones I absolutely need.

I thought about getting a nice swivel plate and mounting it wood
Not gonna lie, I thought this was over priced. I thought about getting a nice swivel plate and mounting it wood, but this was much better. Would my swivel plate have worked, yea, but this is clearly engineered with advantages. The best part is it locks every 180 degrees of turn. No worries about it moving when using it. Also has legs that tip the water towards the trough. Also, nice that it is plastic (as nice as that can be over aluminum i guess), so that the water spilled doesn't hurt it. Very high quality plastic, expect it to last a lifetime. Swivels very smoothly. Should it be your first Tormek purchase, no, but when you get even more serious (like spending $700 on a sharpener isn't serious enough), get this.

Essentiall
For me, this thing is absolutely a necessity. My cabinet is immobile and against a wall, so I have to rotate the (heavy!) little machine constantly. This makes that a breeze and is better than just slapping a lazy Suzan bearing under it because of the positive stop and locking feature. It’s not cheap, but I wouldn’t think of using my machine without it

Makes things easier.
It makes you stop being stupid and trying to run the hone from the opposite side. Actually pretty decent plastic they made it out of.
