We bought this range hood for our kitchen renovation because it could be both recirculating and direct vent. We figured out a way to direct vent it and we love it! The voice activation and the hand wave methods both work well. The air flow is amazing. Would buy again. It is beautiful and very modern. We love all the bells and whistles. It was extremely easy to install.

The unit was well packaged and arrived undamaged. It felt pretty sturdy and well made. It mounted fairly easily, but be very specific about the size of the unit, your cabinet size and your measurements.I was able to place a 2x4 across the rear of the cabinet with some blocking for the rear mount. The side mount was a bit more difficult because it filled the entire cabinet so I ended up screwing it into the cabinet, so watch your screw length as to not screw through the adjacent cabinet.The four stars were for accessing the mounting holes. They can be a *itch to get to. I was hoping the instructions would have included removing the bottom cover making it easier to get the mounting screws installed. I was afraid to do so for warranty issues.The Andy voice thing is a bit gimmicky and I'm not sure how long it will last being exposed to the heat from the cook top.Some reviews say the light, which I use so much more than the fan, was gesture controlled. It is not. I've used it for a few weeks and I can pretty much find the light button without looking. The unit with gesture control will turn on the light as the last setting used, but the fan will come on with it which I might not need so I have to talk to it or wave my hand under it to turn the fan off. Perhaps a front to back motion to control the light?I'm a bit taller so I can't see the controls without stopping down.All in all it's a pretty good unit but if the voice or gesture control goes out, I'll have to do a limbo routine to use it.Plenty of fan power as well.

I’m very happy with my purchase of range hood insert. Very good price. Fits like a glove. The insert not only looks good it also performs very well. The fan provides excellent ventilation. Very happy with how it fits our kitchen cabinets. Highly recommend!

I reached out to the manufacturer to find out about exhausting the hood. They advertise it as ductless but the air blows out the top and I am concerned about grease building up in the cabinet the hood is housed in. Brano cannot be reached by phone, the only means of contact is through email. They do not respond to emails. The hood seems to work fine but there is no customer service at all.

This fit great in our new house. We are excited to use the voice activated settings. This fit perfectly in our range hood. I like the sleek look without raised buttons getting in the way.

Voice activated controls need some work. "Hi Andy" seems to be hard of hearing. You have to shout very loudly to wake him up. The manual controls are hard to see so it's inconvenient if have to use them. Other than that, the hood does its job. Easy to install.

This has been a great buy. Our contractor built a custom hood cover around the hood insert. The fan is strong , but not super loud which was what I was looking for. Very pleased with the purchase.
