Probably not. The AirStash is a WebDAV server. I use it with an iPad. Certain iPad Apps support WebDAV servers. You need to find out whether any Kindle Apps support WebDAV servers.

Q: Can i use a micro sd card in an sd adapter with this product or do you have to use a full-sized sd card?

The Airstash can take both MicroSD (in an adapter) and standard SD cards.

Q: Is it possible to set a password for connecting to it

Yes it is possible to set wifi password if connecting direct to its wifi or the home network password if connecting via home wifi (to have it on the home wifi to avoid connecting to it again and again)Having said so, please double check before buying i am finding now from airstash facebook page that they discontinued this product in 2013/2011 and these are being sold by third party leftover suppliers with NO firmware updates. (I am in a situation where the firmware corrupts the sd card again and again and device turns off when copying data to it, which voids the whole purpose of it. Search for airstash facebook page for the mentioned and google airstash powering off while copying data. Hope that helps.
