I have the dyson cyclone v10 animal (iron), and when i put the filter on the vacuum and began to use it, the filter light came on. anyone know why?

The filter is clogged or dirty and needs to be washed. They can only be washed, it seems, only so many times before the warning light continues to turn on. Buying the replacement filters seems to solve that warning sign for me.
