You can use it outside on a flat smooth surface. The base of kids swiel chair is made of metal.

Q: Will this kids swivel chair damage my floor when used?

It’s possible. There are screws on the bottom that protruded and scratched our laminate flooring a bit, but we noticed early and covered those with duct tape. And at that point I always made sure it sat on a yoga mat if it wasn’t on the carpet.

Q: Anyone buy this kids sensory chair for an autistic child as a gift?

This by far has been the most helpful "sensory" item for my Autistic 4 year old. He absolutely loves this & uses it all of the time. Great quality & loved that it already came assembled. Holds up to 220lbs so most of our family can ride on it too!
