LYRA Super Ferby Large Maxi Colouring Pencils Pack, 12 Metallic Colours, 6.3 mm Lead, Colouring Pack, Ideal for Home and Schools

It doesn't say in the description, but these pencils contain metallic leads. There is good variety of colour from the usual gold, silver and bronze through to a couple of greens, a blue, pink and purple as well as varying shades of gold. The pencils are very easy to hold, being triangular in shape and with nice large barrels, they are ideal for both children and adults with dexterity problems. They will be lovely to highlight certain areas in adult colouring books which is why I purchased them.

Have just bought these and have a box of 12 lovely metallic in cardboard box... Not 96 in wooden box as described!

The media could not be loaded.  Chunky metallic pencil crayons.I was sent these in return for my honest opinion on them.12 beautiful metallic colours, triangular style chunky pencils. I will say straight away, 10 out of 12 of these pencil crayons, are very nice to colour with, they're creamy, they blend and layer well. The other two, are a bit crumbly and not as nice when layering.The colours have a shimmer to them in certain lights, not as much when you look directly at them. They are all beautiful shades though.These are slightly more than I thought they would be but I do like them. The shades are better than some metallics I've used before. I would recommend them. I do think they'd last a while, because of their size.

I've been waiting 2 weeks for them to arrive but was worth it. Colouring pencils are very nice. They are in triangular shape and are chunky, means thicker than standard wooden colouring pencils.They arrived in paper card box, just as expected. The pencils are very good quality. They have soft insert which makes colouring going smoothly and easily. The colours look metallic but picture done by them don't have much of the metallic effect, maybe gentle shine, thats all. My daughter has made some drawing and you can see that the colours aren't much vivid, they are water-like, colours found in nature. I'm missing here red colour, sky blue, yellow or black. The colours which I got, are very similar to each other.. 3x greens, 5x beige, 1 darker blue, 1 silver, 1 purple and 1 purple-brownish?My daughter is still happy with them. She draws images of girls (the brown something on the face is blush, daughter said lol). Pencils are very good but a bit expensive I think. More different colours should be in a pack, rather than similar shades only...

A lovely set of colouring pencils that are slightly chunkier than usual which makes them great for folk who have arthritis in their hands or other dexterity issues. Perfect for children of all ages too. They have a lovely sheen and when the light catches them they look beautiful. You'll need a larger pencil sharpener with these, easily found in most places though.They're not suitable for fine sections in a colouring book but are fab for larger areas then use your fine tipped pencils for the details. They're soft so glide smoothly over paper or canvas. They're very nice indeed.

Soft-set, thick leaded, extra pigmented metalised pencils with a 6.3mm core - that in the world of pencil crayons is very thick indeed!the colour is well defined and pleasingly sharp. Manufactured in Germany, they look well designed and feel expensive. They're slighter wider pencils than the average British pencil, the thickness is very similar to our young  daughter's first writing pencils by Stabilo .These can be gripped nicely as they're triangular and chubby, they also cannot roll away when our little one is busying herself with colouring.The exterior of the pencils are nicely finished in a metallic coating of the colour they represent.Very well finished and very good quality highly pigmented lead which is break resistant.We also love that the upper tip of the wooden pencil is enclosed over the lead - the lead isn't visible like it is usually with other brands.5 stars

We just love the crayons of Lyra.Triangular shaped, unlacquered, soft colouring pencil, really comfortable in the hand.large sized wooden pencils with rounded edges and a high concentration of pigments. Triangular and easy to grip with a giant unbreakable lead, Super Ferby pencils come in every colour of the rainbow, for beautifully coloured drawings.My daughter has an extra pencil case for her lyra pens in her school bag, because she doesn't want to miss them at school.

These are really good coloured pencils, the colour is rich and deep, and it doesn't take a huge amount of pressure to draw with these. They are a good size for my four year old's hands.
