Matman Wrestling Headgear Adult Men Women Ear Guard Ultra Soft Grappling Head Guard

I use this for BJJ and it is soft on my partners. It also does an excellent job at protecting my ears when I have a cauliflower flare up. In addition, it is the only comfortable headgear I’ve ever come across. For people like myself with larger ears, this does an excellent job of enclosing and protecting them without having the headgear rub against them and make things worse. Would highly recommend!!!

After playing around with strap adjustment, I got this to sit snugly in the right place. Rolled with it that night and it stays on. As other say, it makes it a little harder to get out of a triangle or other neck constriction. But my ears didn't hurt after I rolled and that was the point. I'll update this if durability turns out to be an issue but I hadn't seen anything that looks that way.

Bought this headgear for rolling in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I took at bad hit in the ear (without headgear) and developed cauliflower ear. I needed some headgear that would allow me to keep training and rolling while protecting my ear from further damage and allowing it to heal. The Matman headgear is great. Lightweight but structured ear cups so it offers great protection, soft on the outside so it is considerate of rolling partners. Easy to clean by handwashing in the sink and dries quickly. 10/10

Unfortunately this headgear didn't fit me at all, my head is about 24" 1/4, and it would have been way too tight for my 15 year old (he's 6'2", not sure about his hat size) We both have oval shape heads. That might have something to do with the fit.In general I'd say if most standard size hats don't fit you, this won't fit you either.While the chart says it should fit up to 25", I'd if you're more than 24" I doubt it'll fit unless you have maybe more of a round shaped head.

Was getting cauliflower ear and had to get my ear drained. These are relatively comfortable and you can still hear well.

Incredibly light and durable. It gives the needed comfort and protection during training.

My son recently started wrestling, so we’ve been experimenting with different headgear. After a different brand was difficult to put on, had uncomfortable head straps, and uncomfortable ear covers, we tried this one.The Matman headgear was much more comfortable on his head and ears, with fewer straps to adjust and get twisted. However the chin strap was pretty uncomfortable. It was just a strap - no padding - and really sharp and scratchy where the straps were fastened to the ear protectors.With a couple modifications, the Matman headgear has worked really well. We took the chin strap pad from the other headgear and added it to this one. And then I sewed some denim patches over the scratchy connection points.Overall, it’s not perfect, but it was better than the alternative. And with modifications, it’s comfortable and works really well.

Fitting is a bit complicated to figure out but once you find how to its will protect your ears like it should.

Bought this headgear to minimize the cauliflower ear in the future. Does the trick. Sometimes it's hard to hear what people are saying from a few feet away. Only use it when rolling, not during lessons. Does tend to spin on my head a bit, but I don't tighten it down super tight. For the price, I am happy with it.

I use it for BJJ to avoid cauliflower ear. It worls well and its not too uncomfortable.My only issue so far is that my gaor gets stuck in the upper velcro strap

I have all the other types of ear protection. This is the only type that I find works well for BJJ.A little small for my big head. They should make more than one adult size.
