Great Security and Monitoring for Peace of Mind
With moving our Veteran uncle with advanced dementia into our home, we needed peace of mind as we navigated this new caretaker role. This Ring purchase has really been life changing. We are able to keep him safe and keep our peace of mind and sanity as well. This makes all the difference. The Ring cameras were easy to set up with our home Wi-Fi, easy to navigate the functions and adjust to what was needed. The video quality is great and the swivel base make them easy to stand free and stay where you need them to be. The audio is easy to hear or adjust for privacy. We purchased the wired set, which as long as we have our power and internet, they are super reliable. We have a couple of different brand cameras in the house, but Ring seems to make it really seamless and easy to install and use and an interface that is easy to navigate to see what is on the different cameras.

High Quality Camera
These are really excellent cameras. I live on the first floor of an apartment building. We are not allowed to install outdoor cameras or anything else on the outside of the building. My only other option was to buy indoor cameras that face out the windows. The cameras are adjustable. I bought multiple cameras because I live in a corner apartment. The Ring camera comes with the ability to manipulate what area your camera responds to. That is controlled from the app on my phone. This will stop my camera from being alerted if my cat comes near one of my cameras. Remember that all of my cameras are actually indoors and facing out through the windows. It also gives me the option of deciding whether it will record any motion or just motion that occurs when there is a person in view of the camera. And that function works as when I checked a motion sensor event, there was always a human being walking by or even in a different apartment building yard. I don't normally try to include any apartment spaces around me but that's kind of impossible because everything is so close here in the city. But the fact is that works perfectly, records perfectly and only records when there is human motion activity. So the camera can tell the difference between a human and a garbage can falling over from the wind. That's pretty cool. Setting up multiple cameras is very easy because it simply remembers the information on the app. I would recommend getting this camera over one of the blink cameras. I have a couple of them operating but they are nowhere near as sophisticated as the ring cameras. That's just a fact. Of course these are also a little bit more expensive, but they are worth it. It cost about $10 per month to put unlimited cameras from one household on a cloud recording system which is a good safety backup feature in case someone would rob the apartment and also take the cameras. The quality of the picture and videos are superior and very clear even at a distance. When the motion detectors are activated a very bright blue light which is easily visible through windows and screens becomes apparent to anyone outside, even in bright daylight. It is so bright that I think it would scare anyone away pretty quickly. Remember that the blue light is only activated when a person comes in view of the camera. This would scare somebody away I believe. So the blue light is not always on which is good. It also works perfectly with Alexa and I do have it hooked up to my Alexa system. You can simply ask one of your Alexa video devices like the Echo Shows to show one of the cameras which can be named to anything that you want it to be named to simply by changing the name of each camera in the app. You can also show it on a larger screen that is hooked into any Alexa system. The controls for this camera are simply amazing. There are so many different things you can do with these cameras. I live by myself so when I am out of town, I face one of the cameras inwards so I can watch my apartment and cat. Otherwise, I never point my cameras inwards but face all of them out the windows. It even has a setting for doing just that even though they are indoor cameras. What I am trying to say is that the cameras have a setting for looking out a window from indoors so as not to be disturbed by reflections. Also very cool and sophisticated as well is easy to manipulate. So obviously Ring is prepared for people facing these cameras outside through indoor windows. They clearly thought of everything. I would highly recommend buying one or more of these over the cheaper blink cameras. I highly recommend these indoor cameras that run on USB power. Very easy set up for each camera or just use one.

Great camera with options that others don’t have and easy setup/use!!
With the great quality I expected from Ring this camera was perfect for viewing the front of my home from a window. I mounted it inside the window just near the front door, the mounting option of being able to mount this camera upside down and flipping the video recording/playback from the swings in the Ring app was absolutely great. Not very many cameras have this option and it helps hide the camera from plain view while still monitoring the area just as well as other cameras that can only be mounted right side up. The motion detection is great and is able to tell you if it was a person, vehicle or just standard motion. I will be purchasing another one for my other front window thanks to the quality, easy integration and mounting options. I did not purchase the battery version but have other Ring cameras that run off a battery, the battery life is much longer than I had even thought was possible and great video quality. Overall one of the best home security cameras I’ve used and I’ve been using cctv/security cameras since the early 2000’s. This camera is a must have for those looking into affordable but great quality home security/monitoring.

Such a necessity in our home
I personally have 3 of these in my home and have bought 2 for my mother's home. My husband and I love these things and feel so much safer having them. Even leaving the house to go grocery shopping, its such a comfort knowing I can just check in on my animals or check in to make sure I turned something off. These have truly given me peace of mind. The subscription prices are a bit steep in mu opinion, but are very reliable and have never given me an issue. Super easy to mount and super easy to set up, set up and mounting took us less than 10 mins for all 3. I love the privacy slide for when I need them off without unplugging them, and the app literally shows the live footage so crisp and clear. My cats did knock one of them off of the top of an armoire, about 10 feet tall, and it was perfectly fine, no scratches or delays or breakage, and again took 5 mins to put back up and readjust.

Good product, but pricey
We have ring cameras on our exterior. Purchased these to keep on eye on our dogs. Set up is easy and the image was great. The cameras were light weight and small enough. Liked that you could close the door on the image so you don't have the camera going off constantly during the day or when humans were home. The cameras were functional. However, we decided to return because our pup did not need much monitoring and the product is expensive compared to other brands.

Nice buy (indoor cam)
I love this little thing! Super easy to set and operate. The privacy shield has a satiating click. The talk back mic is functional. Works well and is super portable, for indoor use.
