Good replacement at a fair price
It's an O ring, and it fits - no more to be said.

Perfect for the job!
I would have been happier if they sold these in a pack of 2 or 3 to save money, but the rings are perfect, came the next day, and were really easy to fit. Just make sure that you also have some food-safe lubricant and watch a video on youtube for easy instructions. The one I found best was called 'How to service and clean DeLonghi Magnifica" but this mechanism is the same for all their front access mechanisms, and is also the same as found on Saeco and Gaggia machines too, so really handy to watch

Good replacement O ring
Just the job to service a DeLonghi brewing unit. Don't know why they are not sold as a twin pack with a small sachet of food grade lube as a service kit? An opportunity missed?

Ease that sticking piston.
Delonghi Magnifica Coffee Maker. Silicon sealsMy machine has worked well over the last few years but in recent months has made one or two unusual noises. The red press button diffuser is quite often removed for freshwater cleaning. I have noticed the sliding piston within its cylinder is sticking and becoming very difficult to move. This piston is mechanically moved by a screw rod at the back of the machine (which you can just see) and this compresses the ground coffee into the pellets eventually ejected. The piston seemed to be seizing in the cylinder. Time for a strip down. Fairly straightforward once realised it is the large grey plastic circlip at the bottom of the assembly that needs to be removed. Gently prise off with a small screwdriver and once released the very bottom (black) plug held by the clip can be eased off with careful screwdriver leverage. . Once done the whole long piston assembly can be removed. My problem was instantly recognised. There are two orange silicon rings within the grooves at the top of the assembly. These were badly stained in coffee grounds, had hardened thus causing sticking. Removed with a flat bladed screwdriver and the whole assembly thoroughly cleaned. The two new rings (two are required) ordered here easily slipped in place. A light smear of silicon grease on the rings and cylinder wall gave immediate improvement to the piston sliding. I am told that vegetable oil can be used although I have no personal experience. With the unit reassembled and clicked back in place the coffeemaker performs once again as expected. These silicon rings were the answer to a long needed overhaul. Ignore the wrong reference to Stainless Steel - mistake.

Good genuine parts.
Needed these to replace worn rings on our Delonghi machine. You can find them cheaper elsewhere, but I needed quick delivery and I am pretty sure these look genuine original parts to me, some other listings look a bit dodgy. You don't replace these very often, and they are obviously a key component in how well the machine operates, so it is not worth skimping on them. Don't forget if you are servicing a Delonghi machine, you will need 3 of these, 2 on the diffuser and one high up inside the machine on the fixed piston that fits in to the diffuser when it moves up. You will also need some silicone food-grade grease, such as OKS Multi Silicone Grease For the Care and Maintenance of Coffee Machines Food-Safe. It looks expensive for the amount you get, indeed it is, but you don't need much, and it is good stuff. Our 5 year old machine is now operating very smoothly again.

"Material: 18/8 Stainless Steel" but it is, however, some kind of rubber and is flexible.
Suits the Magnifica but you would be well advised to buy a tube of grease advertised with it. After removing the old ring and cleaning the infuser, smear the grease into the ring groove. Then put in the new ring and spread the grease squeezed out of the groove over the newly fitted ring and smear grease onto all the moving faces of the infuser before refitting the infuser. Result - happiness. It isn't steel of any kind unless it is like some automotive gaskets/O-rings around a drive shaft and contains a spring steel coil within it - which I doubt in this case.
