Comfortable and good fit
Bought for post op surgery. And for pain easing. Size was prefect and easy to use. Has good strong velcro making the wearing of it very comfortable

Works amazingly
Honestly it’s not the most comfortable thing to wear if you do manual work but it genuinely works amazingly. No pain from hernia wearing thing but it does rub a little if your moving round a lot. But that’s a small price for the pain relief I think.

I could still work as a delivery driver!!
As someone who had to lift heavy loads on a daily basis (I was working as a delivery driver for a fruit & veg wholesalers when my left-side hernia appeared), I can honestly say this support made a world of difference. I was able to continue working, which included lifting countless bags of potatoes /onions (weighing 25kgs each), carrying produce up flights of stairs, driving a goods vehicle and unloading delivery vehicles all with pretty much normal levels of ease.Obviously it's not as comfortable as say, not having a hernia!, but as the situation needs to be dealt with, it's a very good solution. I ordered the double sided version, despite only having a left-side hernia and I'm glad I did... Due to the strain involved with my job, I obviously wanted as much support as possible so I removed the pad from the right-side and doubled up the left side support (takes a few seconds, the pads aren't stitched in or anything) and it was very good without feeling like it was putting too much pressure on my groin when sitting. As for how to wear in relation to your underwear, there are pros an cons for both options...Under your underwear -PROs makes going to the loo MUCH easier, and once you positioned the straps comfortably, which does take some trial and error, I found this way much more comfortable throughout the day for my 'gentleman's area'CONs - the straps aren't exactly made from Egyptian cotton and can become quite irritating, particularly if and when they start to twist through not being positioned correctly - a small layering of sudocrem solves this problem though. The other issue is hygiene, this method leads to the strap needing to be washed on a more regular basis, I'm sure the reason is self-explanatory!Over underwearPROs - more hygienic! See reverse of above. Also, can be less irritating to skin as no direct contact between skin and the straps.CONs - going to the loo is a pain in the backside (excuse the pun) and given that your have a strap pressed against your abdomin, I found I needed the loo more often!! Also, it is VERY restrictive on your private parts. If you do a lot of moving around, driving etc, you constantly feel the need to 'adjust' but you can't as you have a strap either side holding your underwear down tight over your bits!Personally, I preferred the UNDER the underwear method and kept a small tub of sudocrem on me but we're all different I guess.Right now I'm in recovery following repair surgery, hence I have so much time to write this, possibly unnecessarily long, review on a hernia strap... I do, however, feel that this thing really did make my life so much more bearable than it could have been and I would highly recommend it. Hopefully I'll never have to use it again but I don't think they retain much of a secondhand value!!

Okay apart from flimsy leg straps.
The leg straps are flimsy and not up to the task. I replaced them with straps salvaged from my previous almost identical double hernia support purchased in 2023. This has transformed the item making it comfortable and supportive.

Great product, just what I needed
When the support arrived I was a bit put off by the fact that the box containing the it was covered in sellotape giving the impression that it was a "return"!. However the support itself was new and sealed so I gave it a go. Absolutely delighted with it. I wore to a family party and was able to dance without any discomfort and now I wear it nearly everyday, particularly if I am walking or doing DIY etc. The support is very comfortable to wear and at times I barely know it's there! Recommended!

Almost Instant Relief
Read all the reviews and decided on this one , bearing in mind the amount of excruciating pain involved, but once I was told by my GP to buy one of these and it would certainly help , almost instant relief and some days later mostly pain free , thank you Amazon.

Not good for female anatomy
I likely bought the wrong size, should've bought small, however, they should be advertised as unisex, they're very obviously only useful for men. If you have an inguinal hernia, which, shock-horror, women do get, there's not much out there for us. and Because these are really made for the male physique, they hang very low, and the pads are huge, so they stick out in all your clothes, the pads move, which of course, is the whole reason you need them, to keep the hernia in place, but as the pads move, so it doesn't stop the hernia from moving around, and they can also push too hard against the hernia, which causes pain. I think for guys, they're probably ok, as their groin area is, potentially a little different, I do have a bit of a boyish body, but, I can't recommend these for women, and the picture doesn't even represent the information in the instructions, which tells you to ensure the pad, should be next to the skin. So the belt is not comfortable, the straps that go under the body are too long and move around, there's velcro holding the pads in place, and it can scratch the skin too. I've also hand-washed the belt, pads etc, and the elastic has already started to deteriorate, and lose its elasticity. If you're a female, with an inguinal hernia, my advice would be to get some tummy control pants that are designed like shorts and come down level below the groin.

Immediate relief from pain. I have 2 iguinal hernias, the left one larger. The item is excellent,v very well made with really strong Velcro. My only concern is that it gives great support in holding the hernias in but when you step into your jeans/trousers you cannot fasten them up as the pads are real large. The two sides of the pants hardly meet. I took one pad out, which really defeats the object. Going to look for something I can replace the pads with which are smaller. Don’t wear them if you’re going into a park as it’ll look real suspicious with only the first rivet of your jeans fastened. The elasticated waist is very strong, perhaps even enough to keep hernia in without pads. Great for wearing around the house over boxers. Would I recommend them…yes.
