I received the Philips DVD Players for TV a few months ago, and it has been operating as good as advertised. I usually like to let some time pass before I pass judgement on a device and its vendor, and I followed suit in this case. Good news is, neither the product nor the vendor disappointed. The DVD/CD player was delivered in quick fashion, and upon opening the box, everything was new, and in proper working order. (That has not always been the case with other vendors I have ordered goods from.) Overall, a very good purchasing experience here. Thanks.

This player worked perfectly. When I inserted a DVD from a different region, the player opened it immediately. I have had it for a year with no technical issues. Good purchase for the money.

I gotta wonder: why is the built-in audio level so limited? It only goes to 15, and I could barely hear it. I had to use the TV remote to jack it up enough for comfortable listening. The chosen level doesn't stay there, either. As soon as you turn off the player, it defaults to something far lower, so you have to remember to turn it up to 15 again. Otherwise, it plays DVDs well. I have no complaints with that. I like the small footprint, too.

Good quality VCR. Easy setup, great picture and sound quality, small device. We received it early and in perfect condition.

Does work as all regions, but there is a slight bit of work to do first. Turn on the DVD player, making sure there is no disc in the player. Leave the disc tray open. Without hitting any other buttons, type 5168 at the Philips white and blue screen. This unlocks the “Super Setup Mode.” Once there enter 0000 in the password and you can change the Region by scrolling up to the region on the screen. 0 is all regions, fyi. Other than the annoyance of that, machine works fine.
