RPM Replacement Cable

Plus - I got my dubs with RPM handles and ropes so I’m very biased to their product. I’ve used other brands before and did ok with them but something about RPM product allows me string together dubs with ease during my workouts.Minus - Now on the other hand, their ropes do wear down the more frequently you use them, as expected as there is only a thin layer of plastic coating over the bare metal rope on them. Once the rope starts to fray, there is no salvaging them, trust me, I’ve tried numerous ways to try to save em but you cannot deny the inevitable.Solution - RPM website sells 3 replacement ropes for discount but you’ll have to buy certain amount and shipping costs don’t really make sense on buying that many at one time and paying that much. IMO they should just make replacement cables cheaper to purchase period. Since the wear down is so frequent I’m going to buy anyway. Amazon is kinda halfway point of this since I can get 1 cable but not have to pay shipping or for more RPM gear that I already have and don’t need.

Use these if you want to save the life of your bare steel cable, since the protective coating works better on rough surfaces. Once you have it cut to the right length you can switch them out pretty quickly with a hex wrench (they provide one with the original rope and replacement ropes usually).

If you are looking at this, you probably already have a rpm jump rope. I'm a bit of a jump rope snob and think the RPM are the best on the market. Indestructible, light, good bearings. But the cable eventually gets kinked or frayed. This fairly cheap replacement cable is great. Fast, light enough, somewhat resistant to tangle. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love my RPM replacement cable. Long time fan of RPM, and I've had my original RPM speed rope for 6+ years.. and it was time to change the cable. Should have changed it a long time ago but life happens. When I saw that they now have different colors, I was completely sold on the pink one! Works great.

Cable fits great in the handles of my metal RPM rope that I wanted to add a little color flair to. Cute color doesn’t hide the whip marks though.

Product: the RPM speed rope is a very light and relatively rigid jump rope which allows you to rotate the rope extremely fast with minimal effort. It is thus perfect for the execution of large sets of double-unders e.g. as part of a crossfit workout. However if you are looking for a jump rope which allows you to perform other tricks such as crossovers I would recommend another rope such as the rush athletics speed rope. The RPM speed rope is specifically for double-unders in my opinion.Delivery: I'm giving 4/5 stars instead 5/5 because my first order got lost in the post and was never received. I got a refund easily enough though and when I reordered it arrived within the standard two days as expected so not the end of the world.

You have to save the L wrench from your initial purchase. The replacement cable fit just fine and works like the original.

Perfect if you already have handles! Great light weight rope!
