Take Things Up A Notch
I picked this up to get my Shure SM7dB in play. It works well, is easy to install, clarity and sound quality are excellent. Solid and the price is decent.

Great Customer Service by AUDIO EQUIP
This product works great and allows me to connect some nice, quality mics to my computer for recording. I used it with a few Audacity-like recording software, along with headphones that attach to it. Works great! I also wanted to mention that the AUDIO EQUIP vendor went above and beyond to resolve an issue with FedEx shipping. Somehow FedEx delivery was delayed for several days so I contacted the vendor AUDIO EQUIP. Erik at AUDIO EQUIP deserves a big 'thank you' for getting in touch with me, contacting FedEx to find out what went wrong, quickly shipping out another product after seeing a delivery delay via FedEx and following up to make sure I got the product. Thank you Erik and AUDIO EQUIP. You went above and beyond customer service to ensure I am happy. I really appreciate your efforts.

Great product with no nonsense
Paid for this myself to use with the Shure SM7. it's great. It really is plug and play with anything. Since it has USB-C out, you connect it to computer, tablet or phone and it's picked up instantly.I would argue that this unit (for the SM7B) is better than the cloud lifter as the app that comes with it has presets, vfx, and adjustable levels built in.The build quality is very good. It feels heavy in the hand but solid. No shaking pieces or loose connections on it at all. It's also really small for the amount of features and extra power it provides. This devices has unchained my workflow to allow me to use my mic on the go, which I couldn't do before without lugging my preamp. This unit is a preamp replacement and personally, I think it's just as good.Great value.

Excellent device
Love this little thing! Got it for the future Grammy award winner that lives with us. Very convenient- works with an iPhone so she can record to social media through her phone with a real mic. Headphones plug right into it. It will punish the phone battery, as you would expect.

Not enough gain for SM7B without Cloudlifter, but still good interface for my Mac
To be honest I am shocked reading other reviews that this Pre-amp of 60db is enough for SM7B. It's NOT! I have connected this interface to a Mac, and with a max pre-amp of 60db, the mic was still very quiet. I had to keep it near my mouth and almost yell at it to get a decent -15 -10dB input level. I was shocked, like how come??? Why is it so freaking quiet? Why is nobody talking about it?After additional research, I stumbled upon a little device called "Cloudlifter" which adds 25 db of clean gain. After I connected it FINALLY I have a good amount of gain, that I can adjust and make it lower in application settings if needed. In Auto mode, the software now manages the mic level pretty well. No matter if am I far from a microphone or move closer, the Sure MOTIV app manages the gain level keeping it very strong but not going to the clippings. So, if you just bought SM7B and you reading this, just know that you need Cloudlifter to get a stable, strong, and manageable input signal on your Mac. Otherwise, it will be quiet.I have tested this interface and Scarlet Solo (4th gen), and I like this one more. It gave a more rich juicy tone compared to Scarlet.I have shaved off one star because Shure dropped support of ShurePlus MOTIV app telling to switch to a new app called Motiv MIX. But that app is still in beta and based on the reviews has tons of bugs on Mac so I have afraid to even try it. So I ll stay with MOTIV app for now.Other than that, I love a new mic, but this upgrade was more costly than I expected.

Studio-Level Sound in the Palm of Your Hand – Shure Delivers Again
Shure quality is the best quality, and the MVX2U is no exception. This little powerhouse completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was built with the same attention to design and build quality that Shure is known for. The unit has a solid, premium feel, with a compact form factor that’s perfect for desktop or mobile setups without taking up unnecessary space.Setup was incredibly easy and intuitive. I plugged in my XLR mic, connected the included 1m USB-C cable, and within minutes I had crystal-clear sound routed directly into my DAW. No drivers, no fuss—just plug and play. The ShurePlus MOTIV desktop app adds even more control, giving me on-screen access to gain, EQ, limiter, and compression settings. Perfect for both beginners and advanced users who want real-time adjustments. The 60dB of gain from the integrated preamp is a game-changer—especially for dynamic mics like the SM7B that usually need a separate booster. No Cloudlifter needed here. It also provides 48V phantom power, so condenser mics work flawlessly too. That level of versatility is what really makes this interface stand out. Whether you're recording vocals, voiceover, podcasting, streaming, or live Zoom calls, the MVX2U adapts seamlessly. The zero-latency headphone monitoring is fantastic. Monitoring in real time with no delay makes tracking so much more natural and professional. The headphone jack itself is clean and well-powered—it doesn’t feel like an afterthought like with some cheaper interfaces.I also love that the unit is USB-powered, so no need for an external power supply. This makes it extremely portable and travel-friendly, yet it doesn’t sacrifice on performance or sound quality.Considering the power, portability, and the fact that it replaces multiple pieces of gear in one sleek interface, the value for money is outstanding. If you’re looking for a compact, high-quality solution to connect your XLR mic to your computer without compromising sound, this is the one.Highly, highly recommended. Whether you're a content creator, podcaster, musician, or just upgrading your mic game, the MVX2U will not disappoint.
