Very good, smooth, sweet, medium roast coffee.
Super smooth, naturally sweet, medium roast, Brazilian coffee. It's infinitely better than any coffee available locally in Brazilian supermarkets and fits in well with the premium ranges here in the UK. I do not like the price tag though and I only buy Illy brand when the products are offered at a promotional price. Otherwise, any of the local supermarkets offer their own premium range options which are excellent, for between £3 or so (Lidl/Aldi) and £4 to £4.80 (Waitrose/Sainsbury/Tesco/Asda). We are spoilt for choice of delicious coffee here in London.

A good ground coffee
I had to get ground coffee for my sage bambino espresso machine and I thought I’d try this one. It has a good taste and most importantly the grind works in my machine. It is quite a fine grind ( more so than other shop bought grounds) and sometimes my machine does not like it too fine. However this works, and the coffee tastes good. Not as good as freshly ground beans but I don’t have a grinder currently and this is a good substitute.

Crazy pressurised coffee container
All of the Illy canned coffee, when you take the screwtop lid off, then has a pull ring tab to open the sealed container. It has tiny tiny words in many languages unreadable because of size, and it even has caution and a symbol in red that says slowly...Will rarely do I read instructions on how to pull open this type of tab I've been opening for decades. But I did just pull it up to break the seal... I didn't pull the whole thing open. It nearly exploded in spewed up at least 25 grams of coffee into my face hair all over the work surface and then the floor.Well I didn't expect the bloody container to be pressurized... This is obviously why all other coffee companies put their coffee in bags with a pressure release valve. So Illy warn you but they don't warn you enough... Be extremely gentle when you crack open the can by slowly lifting the tab and I would also have a person with another hand to put something over that to block any coffee that does fly out.I'm not stupid I know how to do quite complex and difficult things but opening this can is absurd.I spoke with Illy, they blame it on how it has been stored and "it's not their fault".

Coffee Heaven!
I purchased this with a new Bialetti mocha coffee pot. When you receive the coffee you have a ring pull to open the coffee. Obviously, the first thing I did was smell the fresh coffee. It was wonderful. I have noticed that others have not had the top to keep the freshness; I was fortunate in that mine came with the lid. I have been drinking the coffee for the past month and have not noticed any difference in the taste. My wife is an occasional coffee drinker and she loves the taste of this coffee. I will try more from the range of Illy coffee. I didn't know coffee could be so good.

Delicious, intense and lovely caramel notes
This was the first ground coffee I purchased after switching from a Nespresso machine to a regular espresso machine. I loved the stronger flavoured Nespresso cups, so the mention of caramel notes intrigued me. The cappuccinos I made with these are just brilliant, intense, lovely roast and the caramel is noticeable but not fake or sweet. Will definitely be trying more Illy coffee.
