Not what I was hoping for
This book could have been a lot better. The photos used to illustrate the weapons were older photos not showing them in Ukrainian service. I think with the amount of information and photos out there a little more effort could have gone a long way. The information presented didn’t shed any new light of use about the performance of the weapons during the conflict and were basically rehashed stats that are readily available elsewhere.

Incorrect information.
I don’t know about the rest of the book, but on page 14 Dougherty incorrectly asserts that “Anatoly” Kalashnikov created AK weapons and that’s where the “AK” comes from. The A in AK is the Russian word for “automatic” and the creator’s name is Mikhail.
