Music school
We are big fans of the Studio Ghibli films. We love having this collection of pieces, not only for our own enjoyment but for our piano students as well.

Exactly what I needed!
Great selection! A few of the songs are a little blurry in print but the majority are crisp, clear, and accurate.

Great Selection of Songs, Format a Little Off
Overall this was an awesome Christmas gift for my sister, the 39 songs were a great variety and contain some of the most popular. My only issue was some of the text had odd formatting issues like lowercase letters in places and no/incorrect comma placement. It doesn't really effect readability too terribly. If that kind of inconsistency bugs you though, this might effect your decision to purchase!

Was this proofread? Disgraceful quality
Buckle up! There are issues everywhere, but one piece here takes the cake. The arrangement is Adriano's window is asinine. Was this even proofread?First, bars 13 to 82 are in 12/8 for no reason. The piece starts in 4/4. The whole song is in 4/4. If you reduce the rhythms, it is basically in 4/4 except for what would be grace notes and ornaments.Second, some bars are enharmonic nightmares. We transpose a motive in G to F and all of a sudden we need A#'s everywhere?Third, there's one pedal mark per bar. Uninterrupted. For the entire piece.Fifth, there's 12 tempo changes, all between 60 and 80. As if rubato doesn't exist.Notice I skipped 4? You already pay too much attention to detail for this book.I was not encouraged by the table of contents having the first 3 typos of the book.A quick survey of issues from just flipping through-On a Clear Day has only one dynamic mark, and it is three beats AFTER the last note is played-Mei is Missing has tremolo marking obscuring accidentals-Nekobus has consecutive identical tempos in bars 1 and 2. How do you not notice this?-Ashitaka and San also has excessive pedal notation. Simile?-Become the Wind has yet another engraving style and actually includes the words "This sign is called Segno."-Promise of the Wind like it was printed from a screenshot and has another different engraving style-Merry Go Round of Life another style and printed much smaller than the rest of the book-Arrietty's Song has more excessive pedaling and lyrics overlap notation. There is a D.S. al Coda but no coda? Huh?-Sunrise should have been notated in 12/8 rather than quarter note sextuplets.I'm definitely returning this. I've seen more care put into budget pep band arrangements.

Very complex music
There were few of the simple Ghibli songs that I wanted, and at least one piece was a complicated accompaniment that omitted the melody. I bought it for my wife but I gave it to my son who’s a musician

Poor print quality
The book has poor print quality. Some pages are fine, but most are pixilated rather than black crisp lines/notation.
